Steve Smith & POWERade's "Coach for the Day" Program

Just wanted to let any Charlotte football players know about POWERade's Steve Smith "Coach for the Day" program. Local high school athletes can enter the essay contest this week to win Smith as their football "Coach for the Day" on Oct. 13, 2009. The program gives local Charlotte athletes a chance to learn from one of the best wide receivers on the circuit.

To enter the contest, athletes can tell POWERADE in 89 words or less why their high school football team would benefit from Steve's coaching and advice. Submissions can be made at www.POWERade-CoachfortheDay.com. The DEADLINE is THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25.

The winning team will get to spend the day with Smith as he participates in drills and shares tips and advice about work ethic, hydration, workout routines, nutrition and staying in school.
