Its not just running, its running on 2nd down leaving Cam in 3rd and long. We also have no short passing game

You are correct...screens would be nice..a draw...a flare...a throw to an outlet perhaps,  a play action pass and we either don't know how, can't do it, the OC can't do it or Newton can't do it, but I will say this, that beating he took tonight does not bode well for his longevity and somebody needs to get a clue, that Superman he may be, but blows to the head will end his career.

That's the worst thing about this loss, Cam was getting destroyed. All those hits for nothing

just like the super bowl, carolina sat on what they were doing at half time. changed nothing made no adjustments. Denver did.  That combined with the blatant dirtiness of denvers defense that somehow was not being called gave Denver a victory

This is the dilemma I face in arguing points on the huddle.  On the one hand you have guys who want us to make Cam throw those finesse passes to the flats or those quick hitting out routes or whatever...then we have guys like you who want to utilize Cam the right way.  I agree with you that we need to use Cam's best abilities.  Unfortunately one of those abilities is running the ball.  And the other is his rocket arm.  But we just don't have the tackles that can sustain blocks long enough against the elite pass rushers to have those plays develop.  So what happens then?  Well pretty much what you got tonight.  Runs between the tackles, option plays, etc.  Some teams are just better suited to attack us than others and Denver is one of those teams.  We just have to limit mistakes and hope for some parity in the penalty department.
