I believe I covered this earlier on but maybe I'm wrong and it was a different thread.. either way, here goes...

In the end this is all about money. You get eyeballs on tv screens and create drama you get more money.. pretty simple equation. I called it before the drive even began, that if we got under 2 minutes and reached a 3rd and long or 4th down the refs would extend the drive. Why?? Because last minute, potential game winning drives, CREATE DRAMA. They get people who weren't watching to tune in and keep the eyeballs of the fans already watching. If the Panthers turn the ball over on downs and the broncos take 4 knees and walk home everyone is turning off their TV set and NOT tuning in. They aren't watching the post game, they aren't watching commercials, they are going to bed because (at least on the east coast) its damn near midnight. Thus, we finally see a head shot called on denver, you see little changes or calls that haven't been getting whistled all of a sudden start springing up when it matters. Drama puts eyeballs on screens, creates legendary moments and makes the NFL machine more money, its really that simple.

So which is it, the NFL is fixing the game for the Broncos to win, or the NFL is fixing the game for maximum DRAMA?

And do you really, truly believe the NFL is worried about how many people see the one or two commercial breaks happened from the Panthers' last possession to the end of the game?  Not to mention that somehow, psychically, people will find out the Panthers are still driving after the penalty that bailed them out of 4th down and tune in.  The people who wanted to see the game were already watching, and the NFL doesn't need to care about the minute to minute ratings because they get a giant check from the networks for years of broadcasts at a time, and when they sit down to negotiate the next one, no one from the network is going to complain that one of the games ended on 4 kneel downs instead of a more DRAMATIC drive extending penalty (which, by the way, happens plenty of times, which is more evidence that you are a lunatic).

I like to hope that you know this is ridiculous, and you're deluding yourself with it because it's more comforting than accepting your team got beat, twice.  It's fun to make up fantasies about refs and conspiracies, but at the end of the day, I hope deep down you know how absolutely ludicrous it is.

For the sane Panther fans, you have got to try to reel these whackjobs in, they are an embarrassment to your entire fanbase.

So calling a hands to the face, bailing you out of a 4th and 21 incompletion with an automatic first down on the last drive is inconsequential?  Why even make that call if it's scripted for the Broncos to win?  It would be a lot safer if the refs are part of a conspiracy to let the Panthers turn it over on downs then give them a first down and time to drive for the winning FG.

The bad spot in the second half didn't cost you the timeout, bad coaching did.  There was no reason to call timeout, just challenge it.  They basically spent a timeout to see if there was enough video evidence to challenge it without losing...a timeout.  If they just throw the flag, they either win the challenge (which they would have) and keep the timeout, or worst case scenario, they lose the challenge, lose one timeout, and have the time during the review to use as a timeout.  It was a terrible decision by the coaches, so blaming the refs is absurd.

Although, this is clearly the place where logic goes to die, so think whatever you want lol

The hands to the face was the correct call...just like the Kalil face mask call earlier in the game. So that's a wash. The taunting penalty (although didn't matter) was bs. They would call that but not the hits to the head on Cam. Complete bs. You think if that were manning on the penalty they did finally call for Cam would have been offset? No, they would have saw him get drilled and not even think about calling grounding. Those hits completely changed the game and I wish Bronco fans would realize that. Their players and coachs say it's just hard play? In what world? They planned to go after him like that. Look at the first half, there might have been one hard hit on him and you were getting dominated. Come out second half, get away with hard hits to the head, Cam is off his game, game is completely different.

I mean you realize that was bs right. you can't sit back as a fan and like what happened

I can respect your view when it comes to some playoff games and certainly the superbowl.... it's just too much UNBELIEVABLE random moments at times. nevertheless no one can question the calls and lack of correcting these issues. I this applies to the golden boy team and we're not one of those team. The NBA is certainly this same way... smh

I'm not saying the call wasn't correct.  I'm talking about the fact that it would be stupid to call that penalty if the refs were part of some conspiracy to fix the game for the Broncos.  The game is over at that moment until they throw the flag, Broncos win.  That penalty is a nuclear bomb in the lunatic conspiracy theories because it is the only reason Gano had the opportunity for the game winner.  Why would the conspirators call an automatic first down penalty after a 4th and 21 incompletion, that honestly no one would have noticed, if their objective was to give the game to the Broncos?  It makes no sense.  I'm not at all saying the call wasn't correct.

The Broncos if the refs followed the rules would have been ejected from the game. I just don't care anymore

And this is such an absurd over reaction.  They got flagged for the most egregious helmet to helmet, which was still no where near ejectable.  There was one other that, although a judgement call, probably should have been flagged.  There was one where Roby went to tackle Cam while he was running and he went for the mid section when Cam lowered his head and that's not a penalty, and there was one where Cam was pushed forward from behind into Von's helmet, also not a penalty.  While the Broncos played physically, there was nothing even close to an ejectable penalty.  It's a fast game and sometimes a hit isn't where it was intended.  There was nothing like the Talib facemask in the Super Bowl, which I did think warranted an ejection.

Either way, the Panthers had a 10 point lead going into the 4th quarter, and have no one but themselves, their poor clock management, and their play calling to blame.  I thought Patriots* fans had a lock on being the whiniest, most entitled, full of excuses fan base in the league, but some of you are really trying to give them a run for their money.

It's not just us the NFPLA  is investigating this as well...

You didn't see 1 panther try to land a helmet to helmet hit.

Go piss off.

You know when fans of the opposing team are still hanging around the forum  something is keeping them from being content with winning the game.

You played dirty and got bailed out. Everybody in the world knows it. It's okay just accept it  and the league will be keeping a close eye on yall from here on out. Good luck playing like that and expecting to win anymore games. Simple as that.

Gotchya man. I'm not into conspiracy stuff, but I will say the refs completely ruined that game and because of it the Panthers lost. I have never seen that kind of incompetence from a crew. That being said, I don't think it was scripted, just bad refs. Like I said to you a while back, I applaud you for coming on here and you are not a jerk so thank you. P.S. I now hate the Broncos. Sorry.
