Well as a white man who is about as far from a liberal as you can get I Will tell you it is most certainly about racism. Deep seceded racism no matter how you swing it, I'm not getting into it in this thread but anyone who says different is in denial or blind.

Just saw the whole interview. Although short, Rivera said a ton in that interview. I am a huge fan of Rivera after seeing this. Not only will he protect his players, but I would say overall, when it comes to life, social issues, etc, that he gets it. I know he had to catch his words there to make sure he didn't say something that would cause a controversy, but to me, he said all that needed to be said.

Ron is a testament to giving your coaches time to establish themselves and develop their program. I can't imagine waht this team would be like had he been fired when the media was calling for his head a couple years back.
