Eric Davis on NFL Network makes sense "Carolina will have a tougher road back to the Super Bowl, because the NFC is tougher than the AFC"

I don't get the perpetual Packers love.  I know they have Rodgers but a lot of people seem to ignore they annually go through stretches (on offense) where they turn rather pedestrian and play just straight up average whether they have injuries or not.  They're inconsistent at the next level.

And their defense is mostly average.

Side note... is anyone else happy that the media love affair with the NFC east is over for now? The whole division is irrelevant and therefore the media can't get good ratings talking about them 24/7. It's a nice change of pace

Sadly its not really over.  They still spend more time talking about the Giants/Cowboys/Eagles/Josh's new team than they do other teams in the conference.  But now they can only talk about how they might get out of the NFL cellar.

said it after the superbowl, that was our best chance to win a superbowl and we blew it. Takes a lot of skill and some luck to be in the superbowl. yes it's possible we end up back in the superbowl but we have big question marks at the cb and de position. and we have to stay healthy....uphill battle but it can be done, i do like the focus of Cam this offseason

Dude, it's still everywhere.  I was in a Fantasy League Tuesday night, and someone picked Dak in the 2nd round.

This team isn't going 15-1 again. A)Chances are the ball goes the other way in some tight games. (Ie Giants, Packers, Saints 2015). B) Has a team ever repeated a 15-1 season going 15-1, 14-2, even 13-3? C) Injury situation. Games they could very well lose: Raiders, Bronco's, Chiefs, Cards, @Redskins, division games are always tough too.

Goal should be playoffs and getting that first round bye somehow. I hate to bring up last year, but that was a golden opportunity that went to the waste side when it mattered most. All l care about is a SB win.

Despite thinking the Packers are overrated I do think they have an easy  schedule. They play the NFC  East, AFC South and are in a weak division with Tedy out for Vikings. Panthers have a very tough schedule with a lot of west coast trips.

No matter what the players say the Broncos game has been circled on their calendar since it came out.  I fear a let down after the Broncos game. Luckily next two opponents are soft.

He was talking more Playoffs.  He's got a point, we'll have to go through GB, Seattle, and Zona to get there.  Just because the AFC's best teams are the Pats (Brady is turning 40 soon, Father Time is calling)and Broncos.  Name another team in the AFC that's a Super Bowl contender?  Oh wait, nothing?  Fair enough.

Steelers

One question to ask ourselves is at any point during last season after Benjamin got hurt did you think we'd be top in the league at scoring offense? Most of us thought the Defense as good as they are, would be on the field way too much resulting in overtrained legs. AT best we thought maybe 9-7 without Benji. Most people didnt believe in us, they werent sold even when we beat Seattle in Seattle by convincing fashion. Look, as long as the O line stays healthy along with the most of our team I love our shot at going back to the SB. As long as Cam picks up right where he left off at during the season and the playoffs before Denver, we are going to be okay. It'll be quite common for people to sleep on this team though, expect Arizona to be favored and Seattle to be heavily favored by all the "experts". Expect the dick riding to commence hardcore for those two teams. Expect a handful of people to label Green Bay as favorites should we meet in the Postseason as well. We just gotta keep pounding and not listen to the naysayers and let our talking do itself due justice on the gridiron

Besides the Steelers, you're reaching horribly.  The fuging Texans?  The Colts with four Rookies on their Offensive Line?  The Ravens which won a total of 5 games last year?  The Raiders that have proved nothing since they went to the Super Bowl?  Like I said, you're reaching.  The Steelers have a ton of questions marks too.  Can Ben stay healthy?  Can Bell stay healthy?  Can the defense finally progress?  Things like that.

All teams have questions at the start of the season. I just pointed out the top teams in the AFC. If things were how you say they are the Panthers would not have been 15-1 last year. Need to stop watching ESPN kid.
