Look for Marcus Ball to be activated from the practice squad.

If we do that doesn't he have to sign for at least a few games? I know he is making the trip but that decision is longer than just this game right? Or do I have that all wrong?

Incorrect. We sign him off the PS but have to cut one player form our 53 (prob Jared Norris) to do so. We can then cut Ball after the game if we choose to.

Am I thinking of when we sign someone off of another team's Practice Squad?

Good posting. Questionable now just means "we don't know" if the player will play. I think we see more doubtfuls showing up on injury reports where a player is unlikely. Questionable was kind of 50-50 before, but I think questionable is now anything from there's a chance the player won't play all the way to he might play. Doubtful is now the new good chance they won't play. If the player is pretty much playing, they aren't going to be on the report at all, not probable.

I disagree, IMO probable guys I think will simply become questionable guys under the new format.

I think some may, but given that 95% of probables ended up playing, I thought the goal was to remove the people who everyone knew was playing from the injury report. That said, you could be right that now everyone is just questionable unless they are unlikely to play. I hope that isn't the case because then there's really no point to it at all. Could be based upon teams, like the Patriots.

No, questionable is still the same except probable is grouped into it. If the person has a 50% chance or better or playing, then they are questionable now. Basically, questionable is now just more confusing and less helpful. Thank god the NFL clarified injuries!

There's no requirement for keeping someone from the PS, as far as them physically being on the active roster.  You can sign someone from your own squad, or another team's squad, and cut them the next day.  Payment may be what you're thinking about.  Once signed from the PS, you have to pay them league minimum salary for a certain amount of weeks.  I'm thinking 3 or 4 weeks, but can't recall exactly.
