FBGP's NFL Gameplan Panthers/Broncos Preview

I think you're exactly right about the Kline being our key. If that fails, our offensive game plan will unfortunately become disjointed, and perhaps make the game closer to a 50-50 proposition. Even then though, I think that the return of Benjamin and a heavy dose of Funchess will make some degree of difference in the Panthers' favor. I would also definitely use the speed of Ginn or Byrd, and quickness of Brown, to soften up some of that pass rush with either screens, bubble screens or shots down field.

I don't know how effective Olsen is going to be in the passing game, as I suspect his focus will have to be pass protection.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is playing week 1 in altitude.  No starters have played a full game yet and conditioning can be a factor early in the season no matter where you play.  A lot of players have commented that it does have an effect, especially early in the game.  I personally believe it does add slightly to Denver's home field advantage.  I found an interesting site to show the impact of oxygen levels at altitude.

That's the biggest key...If the OL shows it can 'handle' without the need for Max Protect, then it'll be just another passing option for the Broncos to worry about.  I do agree that Brown can be an X-factor as well. He was the only one IMO that wasn't afraid in the Super Bowl from that position.

I rated it a 5.  I like Em's analysis for the most part.

Em, you know Ed Dickson's useless right?  This man can't get open to save his life.

*raises fist* I still believe!!

But all jokes aside, he's going to have to do something...can't just be out there holding up a uniform

Anyone on the squad has Sickle Cell? Because that'll be huge too...it's why Ryan Clark was always out for the games in Denver

That's what he's done the last two years, man.  So, unless something changes you have more faith then all of us at this point.

Since you cover College a lot.  Do you think we should take Samaje Perine at the end of the First Round next season?

I like that fit man! Perine reminds me a lot of 'good' Michael Turner.  Wouldn't surprise me to see Chubb in up in Carolina as well.
