I think Remmers knows his career is on the line with this game as well, so he'll have maximum motivation. If he can handle Von Miller well this time around, then he's probably going to be locked in at RT for a long time. But he hasn't improved, and Miller makes him look like a clown again, then his days are numbered. He's sure to know that.

While I understand Rivera's side with not getting a week 1 home opener as the defending NFC Champs I am glad we open at Denver. Gives us a chance to make a huge statement to start the season and I think it does provide extra motivation.

I think Rivera's bigger point was that we get a very short week to prepare since the 53-man roster cut down, which is even shorter with the travel day, while there are 30 teams that get 10 days to prepare. That was more his complaint than starting on the road. And I agree with him.

 Sure, they could have scheduled it another time during the season, but that would have given causal fans time to care less, might as well open the season with a bang. They could have made it week 2 or week 7 or any other week, but with the QB question mark in Denver, giving them a week or more to potentially tank could have made the game irrelevant to a portion of viewers.

With all that being said,, fug Denver and I hope we take a big, steaming poo the likes of which would make even SCP shed a tear up on them.

This game would get top ratings if the MFer were at 2am in week 2 or 3.  No need to Flex it or make it the first game.  You totally ignored the facts on 14 of 16 year the NFC Champ has opened at home.   Rivera made a comment about it and he has a point.  After 9 years you change so you can have a repeat game?
