That hip injury during the last preseason game made his fate easier to decide. Not sure what would've happened otherwise.

It's an either/or proposition. He either stays on Carolina's IR all year or they release him at some point with an injury settlement and he's then free to sign with someone else. Depending in the injury and if any draft picks are at stake, I wouldn't be surprised if they left him on IR all year and kept him around for camp next year.

Yes. I know he is on IR. I want to know the extent of the injury.

He's terrible and we lost a 6th(7th?) to get him. Whatever. Given our WR situation when the trade was made it was worth a flyer. We lost. It happens.
