Shaq isn't a converted Safety.

You're right, even though he played some safety in college (and a lot of the "experts"predicted him there in the nfl), he was mainly a LB. My point was that he, TD, and Cash all came into the league undersized for a LB. They damn sure ain't your typical 3-4 OLB's.

Bringing Hardy back would be the cheapest way to immediately help our pass rush...

All offseason we were fed the BS he did nothing on the field last year and whose team didn't want him, then we bring in a guy with zero career sacks since 2013 who six teams let go.

Scott doesn't count against the 53. After the suspension we decide to bring him back or release him.

Ok that's what I thought. So we do not have to cut anyone right now as a result of this signing.  We were sitting at 52 due to Scott's suspension.  So we have 4 weeks to evaluate.

We never cut down to 53, because of Scott. We had 53 active plus Scott suspended. Horton was cut to add Edwards.

Yeah and he probably won't even see the field. I know that. Our organization don't want players with issues but Hardy is a good player, that wants to be here and went through the legal process...

Actually he was cut by 4 teams. He was a Cowboy twice and the Titans traded him.

They're just hoping he's an upgrade over Horton. It kills me how any movement at DE ends up bringing more whining about Hardy.

It's not GMan's fault.  He's swung and missed on a few pitches but still not even made an out.  He's batting 1.000.  Hardy Jr is all on JR.

I didn't comment on the GM. Just saying that Edwards is only (hopefully) an upgrade over the much maligned Horton. As backup I think it's a decent move.

It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that no DE of real value would be cut.  Fair enough.  We'll see.

I don't know what it is with some of you guys and wanting to cut Norris. He has the ability to be a solid backup, or at least a placeholder once developed.

Its not that I don't believe in Norris, its when we already have 4 starting calibre LBs (2 of which are All-Pro, 1 of which will probably be one in a couple of years), combined with young promising guys like Mayo and Cash, I think Norris is taking a roster spot away from another area we could use.  I have zero hate for a hungry guy like Norris making his way.

Honestly, Teddy Williams is where I would place my 'hate' if anywhere...... haha.  Just rewatched the Pittsburgh game and all I saw Teddy do was have two penalties.... picking up from where he left off last year.
