The good news is that these things don't have to be mutually exclusive. It's ok to give credit to the players and to the GM. So many people on here hate to credit GMan because of Cam - that's just dumb 

But it's not just Cam. It's Ron rivera and the coaching Staff as well. Proehl, Wilks, Washington, SHULA. All these guys people rave about wouldn't even be here if gettleman was allowed to pick his own staff. Richardson had to make sure he was okay with keeping them. The names I have mentioned and the draft picks he has made, he definitely knows what positions to draft based off our coaches track record.

Zod said it  but to hit it again Gettlemen is exactly young and Cam isn't exactly old.  I don't think has a long run planned in his current role.  If Cam plays his career here Gettlemen won't outlast him IMO

I mean hey, I can usually pick out a few players in the draft I think will be better than our pick. Even guys drafted after we pick!  Somebody make me a GM.

Well the Nuk/Star thing hasn't been decided...but Nuk plays sexy position compared to Star so he will always be working with a handicap

but I was a big Nuk guy and was a big drummer of the he is a much better WR than Sammy.  I wanted him. Happy with Star though

Star imo is EASILY the most underrated guy on the team.  People act like he is just  a guy

Can't really complain cause it was a 5th round pick, but it still was a waste of a 5th round pick

Gettleman was allowed to pick his own staff. He chose to keep everybody.

And GMs don't pick assistant coaches. Head coaches do.
