A lower around pick getting cut from an already good team is not as shocking an event as some folks are making it sound.

This is far from unprecedented in the NFL.

A 5th round pick DB getting cut from what is one of the  weakest CB corps in the league is...a little surprising

To me, Sanchez also looked to be the most explosive and fluid athlete of the three amigos.

I'm starting to think he values size more often than not.  In this case, many thought Sanchez was the better prpspect between he and Worley, and Sanchez by most accounts, played better...  but, Worley has a job now, and Sanchez doesn't.

We drafted 2 guys in outside roles and 1 slot corner with ballhawking skills.  But....don't forget we have Bene back and the team seems to like McClain.

4 - Bene, Bradberry, Worley, McClain

If we're just keeping 5, the rest were all battling for a spot.  Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't we go into last season with a super thin 4 count at CB bc of Jones' versatility?

Worley doesn't appear to be able to play outside in 2016.  So...what are we doing?

Bene and Bradberry outside? Shaq used in base and going back to ever exciting Jones in NASCAR?

With the speed we have at LB in Shaq for our bases, we may be implementing the moneybacker more prominently this year with Cash.

Concerning Worley--Yes, he has a curve but that's an assumption based off of the brief preseason (and really just one game).  People are really focused on that perfmormance but I still think Worley has the highest ceiling of all of our picks.

Outside: Bene, Bradberry

Slot: McClain

Depth: Worley, maybe 1 more that's versatile

So no teams wanted to draft him?

yeah,if you could play him on the outside.

hes a slot corner at best and doesn't have the size for that

so first of all what position can he play in order for a team to put him on their 53?

and as far as the draft is concerned, that's all speculation.

I'm shocked to see him cut hopefully we can bring him back on our practice squad. Apart of me feels this has to due with how well Shaq was playing at LB making plays and wanting to get him on the field. I know with Bene being back healthy and Shaq showing his play making ability. Zach wasn't going to see time on the field.

It is 2016 pass heavy NFL...slot CB is basically starting position.

I don't get why teams would only be interested if he could play outside

Sanchez seemed to know he was on the bubble in interviews during camp. if I had to guess, it was non "performance" issues that got him cut, i.e. not quick enough to pick up concepts, study or behaviour deficits, that sort of thing. if that's the case, then I wouldn't lose sleep waiting for him to land on the practice squad even if he isn't claimed on waivers.
