I've done my research, and looked for top offensive and defensive coordinators around the league and this is what i came up with in no particualr order:

- Leslie Frazier (DC, Vikings)

- Marty Mornhinweg (OC, Eagles)

-Ron Rivera (DC, Chargers)

- Bob Baich (DC, Bears)

-- wildcards--

-Mike Zimmer (DC, Bengals)

-Greg Blache (DC, Redskins)

- Paul Pasqualoni (DC, Dolphins)

there are more, that i could have missed.

No he's not because Carol is a damn good coach even though I hate the "Fake USC". He would instantly turn poo around for us. You see what he does with the scrubs he gets at So Cal. Yes, they are scrubs for the most part in a weak ass division.

Pete Carrol consistently brings in top 5 recruiting classes every year.

And its completely different process in the NFL. That and having to deal with men is why all these really successful college coaches can't make it in the NFL. How many times do you want to get burned?

Doesn't anyone remember that Carol coached in the NFL, and just couldn't cut it? some coaches are made to coach college and he is one of them. Why should he leave, he has a good thing going at USC.

I'm not supporting a Pete Carol head coaching job here in Carolina by any stretch. Nor am I the original person suggesting that he come here. I was just defending him as a college coach to the dude who said that he coaches scrubs.

And I was backing you up. I agree he is an excellent recruiter and college HC. But that takes a different skilset then the NFL.

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
