Ain't bragging when he backs it up, on a weekly basis. 

I want my qb to be confident in himself and his abilities. 

He's a lightning rod, which will always get people whom think he's overly cocky.

 In my observations, most people whom think he's cocky, are cocky themselves.

How many all time greats were not cocky? What's going on anymore...now all the sudden being cocky is frowned upon?

Most of us have never met him but can safely assume ... absolutely.  I can stomach it though because he backs it up on the field and helps the team win.  The same cannot be said for other players.  He's a big fella that has been on a pedestal for most of his life.  Everything considered, he has grown-up a lot since becoming a Panther and handles it pretty well.  As long as the cockiness is not a cancer to the team or society ... and he wins football games ... who really cares if he is cocky or not.
