DA trade interest ?

I don't think there is any value that can compare. We might be one of the only teams with 2 quarterbacks who could start for other teams. I think it boils down to these few points:

1. DA means more than you think to this team

If you just scratch the surface, we all see DA as just a capable back-up who can come in and start if Cam gets hurt. While that may be the case, I would also credit him for the development of our young offensive talent and depth. When you watch preseason, and you watch practices, most teams experience a substantial drop off from production from the starter to the back ups. Most of our back ups get starter quality reps because DA has that experience. It sucks to have a young guy in there who can't really throw the ball at a semi elite level and your receivers don't have to worry about "un catchable passes."

2, DA wants to remain healthy

I believe DA had one pro bowl season with the Cleveland Browns. The Cleveland Mother loving Browns. He does not posses the numbers to even generate any possibility of being mentioned in any way, shape, or form of being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Not gonna happen. He already got his money early in his career and does not seem like a frivolous spender, so he doesn't have to chase the money. Coming from the Cleveland Browns, a QB constantly taking hits from Defensive player wears on your body. With defensive players getting bigger, stronger, and faster, QB's feel it just a little bit more. DA could be trying to ride off into the sunset concussion and injury free.

3, DA is with a winner

This late into your career, why would you leave a winner and go somewhere else.

4. Cam's Development

I do attribute some of Cam's development of being able to read defenses to DA. Thats about having that veteran presence. training the youth. I love to see him and Cam as well as Joe Webb euro step into in the running jumper.

Hes a big contributor. HE ain't going nowhere

Did Shaun Hill make a pro bowl his second year in the NFL?

Here are all the teams who have better QBs than DA: Panthers, Bucs, Saints, Packers, Seahawks, Steelers, Colts, Titans, and Patriots.

DA is comparable to Jay Cutler, Eli Manning, Kirk Cousins, Carson Palmer, Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, Derek Carr, Phillip Rivers, Alex Smith, Joe Flacco,  Andy Dalton, Blake Bortles and Ryan Tannehill. Would these teams trade for DA? No. If DA were their starter, there would be no noticeable difference in play from the QB position.

So, there are 10 QBs that DA would be am immediate improvement over. Rams and Eagles would benefit from DA only because they have rookies at QB.

The Vikings, Jets, Bills, Browns, Texans, Broncos, Cowboys, and 49ers would all immediately benefit from DA. Rex Ryan is infatuated with the Tyrod Taylor experiment, so he will ride that into the ground for another losing season. The Texans over paid for a QB that will quickly flame out, and they have to see their investment through to the end of another failed Texans offense. The Browns may not let go of their QB resurrection experiment. I could see the Vikings, Jets, Broncos, Cowboys, and 49ers offering up something for DA. Of those teams, all but the 49ers would be likley playoff contenders with DA at QB.

I know I would take DA over Kerry Collins, Chris Weinke, Rodney Peete, Jake Delhomme, and Matt Moore. DA is comparable to Beuerlein, and Cam is the only QB in Panthers history better than DA/Beuerlein.

And this is why I don't post much anymore, just blind homerism and not actual logical football discussion.

yeah he's done it on a bunch of other topics too.

see kiddies, good trolls who actually know what they're doing don't just go "durrr here's my stupid indefensible opinion everybody get mad" like you normally see around here.

nah, they do what OP does.  post stuff that's ridiculous but kind of borders on the edge of something someone might actually think.  then when they get flamed they go "what did i say?  wow you guys are mean, i think that's a personal attack" and so on which just pisses people off even more.  effectively they're making everyone rage at essentially nothing which is the point.

Good point there are some people in the world dumb enough to actually think the assertions are realistic...so I'll change his status to above average troll
