No doubt he would thrive here, I just dont think DG would or will trade DA at any price in order to avoid the situation MN is in right now.  He is just too valuable.  There arent a lot of backup QBs of his caliber, and we have a QB who runs a fair amount.  We need DA too much to trade him IMO, I think DG is of that mentality as well.

i could see that but i mean getting AP would put us really unstoppable

Let's trade him for another punter so we can have some unstoppable 2 punter sets. They won't be able to stack the box or use a spy. One of them can work the slot and the other can play the Buffalo/2 gap Nascar package. Salty tears will flow.

Dude, AP is washed up. He maybe has 1 good year left. He's a speed rusher, not a power rusher like Stew. You need to open up holes for him to thrive, and our O line hasn't proven that consistency.

HE LED THE LEAGUE IN RUSHING LAST YEAR..........HOW IS THAT WASHED UP?

even though I wouldn't trade DA as he is the best back up in the league and it completely unselfish and happy to be Cam's back up.   If it were on the table I would say DA for DE Danielle Hunter (6'5 252) and a 4th.  or DA for Safety Anthony Harris and a 5th.  or DA and 4th for Trae Waynes.

AP would instantly upgrade our running game, no doubt, but I also think we have bigger needs than RB.  A stud OT and/or DE would have a bigger impact IMO.  Nonetheless, I would be uttlerly shocked if DA was traded.  If DA wanted to go I think he would have demanded a trade a long time ago, he seems content here, and I cannot say this enough, I would not want to be in the position MN is in right now - they were probably the favorites to win that division, now.....might be .500 at best, all because they didnt plan ahead very well.

i understand that but i mean to get a all time great to go with our all time greats would be insane and we would be pretty much unstoppable

lol what does my selfie pic have to do with AP?

trust me man, I watched a lot of Vikings games last year. They had so many drives that ended in 3 and outs b/c AP couldn't get them anything. His stat line would be something like this per game ...

-1

1

0

2

2

-4

3

7

-1

65

so yes, he'd break a long one, but he single handedly stalled so many VIking drives last year it was laughable. Yes, a lot of that had to do with Bridgewater's ineptitude running that offense and defenses expecting run in a very predictable offense. Maybe he'd be more consistent with Cam under center, but I'd still rather have Stew then AP.

:(

love stew really do....but he does not hold AP jock strap.....AP would beat stew like he was one of his kids
