How man Ts did Hardy make look like a scrub? Or Peppers?

Sometimes a good or above average player gets owned by a damn #1 at his position or HoF type player. Remmers was fine for most of the year and all the sudden he sucks because a future HoF pass rusher kicked his ass lol..da huddle.

Remmers was decent against Watt too.

I may be wrong, (because it sometimes takes a masters in accounting to understand cap hits), but it seems the guaranteed money is about the same as Nortman is getting.  I think that we can cut Lee in 2018 with no dead money, where as if Jacksonville cuts Nortman in 2018, they do have some dead money.  At least that is my limited understanding of the contracts.

Lee's contract doesn't have any guaranteed money in it that we'd be responsible for. After Lee signed his big deal with the 9ers, they traded him to the land of Cleve. When that happened, the 9ers got a dead money cap hit from his future signing bonus charges. He's still counting $500k in dead money against the 9ers cap this year from that trade. We've got him free and clear of any dead money costs if we decide to release him for whatever reason. We're paying him strictly non-guaranteed salaries for the next 3 years of his contract. And if we decide to extend him beyond those 3 years, I'm sure Gettleman will negotiate his 2018 $4 million salary down a million or 2

So it appears to be a pretty good deal for us in that sense.

I'd say one looks that way because of the other

Cam and Luke were BIG but his philosophy in building a football team and who to pay and who to let go, how to manage the salary cap, and drafting are top notch. He has every element needed to be a successful GM.

I haven't seen any options to seriously upgrade, that Gettleman has passed on.

I happen to like Remmers.  I don't know what others expect out of right tackles, but Remmers does pretty good, and is one of the better right tackles the Panthers have had. He's improved since arriving, and he's holding off quality competition.

Plenty to like.

I tend to agree.  What better option has gman passed on? He drafted Williams, but it hasn't worked out yet. He found oher when nobody else wanted him. I find it hard to argue against his draft picks,  and I can't recall any free agents that could do any better without completely breaking the bank.

Hey, he needed to teach that punter a LESSON. Gotta make him an example or else other players might not play 100% in preseason!

Couldn't tell if serious, but if you are...

Meh. We're talking about a Pro Bowl caliber punter. I could see how that could send a bad message in theory to the rookies, but the vets should know better. If the rookies hotdog it and fail to sieze their opportunity, they don't have a clue and should be cut. Vets know the deal.

Scolding the guy on the sideline in order to send a message, I can see, but cutting your quality veteran kicker seems extreme.
