So is this guy starter material? I briefly checked his stats. The last 2 years seems like he's missed some games. Is he injury prone?

he is a competent NFL S

given our current situation with rookie CBs everywhere.....and the sporadic Boston behind them....he has a good shot at starting to provide stability to the young bunch.  Half the battle to start the season w/ the rookie's will be someone making sure they comprehend what is going on.

It's awkward that there's such a vocal, albeit small, group of Panthers fans that are so anti-UNC that they want former Heels to fail so bad that they're fine with it even if it's to the detriment of the Panthers. I'm a Heels fan, but if there's a former NCSU player who can help us, bring him in! I hope Jeremy Cash, a former Duke player can help us as well.

As a Panthers fan I want what's best for the Panthers, regardless of where a guy played his college ball.

Yeah, I'm pulling for Cash too. I don't see what difference it makes what school a player went to. If they can help the Panthers, I'm all for it.

As for Wright...why has he only started 9 games in the last two seasons if he's so good? If he does sign, I'm almost positive it will be as a back up.

Plus the past 2 years in Tampa, he had Lovie for his coach, who also coached Wright during his Chicago years. Same schemes, but Wright's production fell off
