That explains just how much you know. No one is there to compete with Peat for guard. I'm more than certain they'll be keeping an eye on cuts for a potential player at the other guard spot, but Peat has one locked down.

You traded a 4th round pick for a punter...

You seem to be putting a lot of stock into a trade for a conditional 7th round pick. This is basically a try out, as he was more than likely to be cut, this just kept the Saints from having to play the waiver game. Dan Campbell knows him well.

I'm failing to see how the Saints didn't address the depth, unless they're suppose to have pro bowl players sitting on the bench. But the Saints brought in Fairley, Onyematta, and Rankins during the offseason for rotation in the interior. Kikaha was part of a rotation on the outside, one that the Saints aren't happy with the production out of. The Saints made major changes on defense this offseason.

And it was worth it.

I actually like the Kruger signing for you guys, if you move him to DE.  But other then that, it's going to be a few years before your defense is finally up to par.  Determines the Salary Cap as well.

I like the signing as well. I'm not expecting huge things thise year. Expecting a building year. There's been major overhaul on defense. Tons of young guys. I'm hoping they improve as the year goes on. I think we're still another solid offseason away from being competetive in the division again.
