We need folks like Gene, Robin, Jonathan Winters, John Candy, Richard Pryor -- beautifully funny, slightly mad people that look like you and me, but are adored by everyone. In them, we see the best and bravest parts of ourselves, making fun of life and thumbing our noses at Death itself. That's why it hurts more when they pass, they take a little of us with them when they go.

I'm not sure how many people on here are old enough to remember "The Electric Company", a classic children's show that used to follow Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers Neighborhood on PBS.

But if you are old (like me) and you do remember the show, I wonder if you were aware that Gene Wilder provided the voice for this guy:

 

Yep. Gene Wilder was "Letter Man".
