If Lucas gets cut, this is why

What are you talking about? Dickson played plenty of snaps. I'll be fine if they cut him, but he's not as easy to replace as some of you think. If he was, he would have already been gone by now. What does the coaching staff know though right? They only fielded the #1 offense in the league last year.

A #1 offense that faltered on the biggest stage, largely because of our wide-outs' inability to catch, ironically block, and get open.

This is the worst logic regurgitated on this board "the coaching staff knows more than you, so don't question any of their moves". Appeareantly the coaching staff and front office is off limits and cannot be criticize. I mean look at our SB cabinet, it speaks for itself.

Dickson is not easy to replace? Yet ravens fans don't seem to miss him much, hardly any other team seemed to be interested in Dickson when he was a FA. But I guess his 2 TD did made all the difference in our number 1 offense.

OK you have convinced me that Dickson is garbage and the coaching staff has kept him here just because they're stubborn and want to piss you off. That's it.

The typical condescending sarcastic reply from the huddle. So original

The fact that Olsen plays more snaps than any other TE in the league makes our second string TE expandable to a mediocre player like Dickson.

I actually agree that Dickson is no superstar, but he is not doing the exact same job as Olsen either. His job is to block and he does it better than you give him credit for, especially when you consider that most college TE's don't know how to block these days.

Where did I say that? Dickson was a non-issue...like he always is.

You implied it.  I'm done arguing with you because you have obviously made up your mind that the man is garbage and nothing is gonna change it. If he gets cut, he gets cut, but just don't count on any of these other TE's taking his place and lighting it up this year or you will probably be badly disappointed.

He's not asked to do same job as Olsen cause he can't. You think if Dickson can catch and run routes as good as Greg he would be asked to block as much? Hell no

This isn't the 1960s anymore, a TE main job is to catch. I would sacrifice blocking if it meant some extra yards and TD. FYI Dickson isn't that good of a blocker, so it's not like his blocking can't be replaced

No, I didn't imply that Dickson was the sole reason why we lost the Super Bowl, which was your implication by your response. He may have been a small reason, but perhaps if we had had someone more skilled than he is at his position, perhaps they would have made a better accounting of themselves and actually made a difference. But, make no mistake, Dickson is way down the line when it comes to assigning blame for our Super Bowl loss (which starts with the coaches). Moreover, I don't expect any TE not named Greg Olsen to light it up, just be better at the position than Dickson. I just don't think that is unreasonable or too much to ask.

You might want to tell that to the TE's coach because I promise you that he wants his TE's to block first and catch the ball second. The Panthers aren't the only team that sees it this way either.

If the tight ends coach want a block first TE why is Olsen on this team? I've been following Olsen since his Miami days, the one thing he is not is a blocking TE. I can probably count the amount of times Olsen was left to pass block on my hands.

Olsen pretty much blocks on every running play, so I don't know what you're talking about. You just like to argue, don't you?
