We will be the team of the decade...

Football is week to week.

Better to look back and say, "we were the team of the decade" than to proclaim it ahead of time.

Never understood this kind of post. It's not like I'm our QB and have to focus game to game.

Thanks for advice though?

We're just continuing to prove that we are inconsistently successful year to year. At this point we might just be an afterthought in 20 years, just another one year wonder whose flaws got exposed soon afterwards.

We have the right QB, TE, LBs, good Interior Oline and Dline, but almost every other position is either suspect or bad.

We wont be a dynasty unless we eventually get a high quality CB, a great and DURABLE young RB to replace Stewart, a great pass rusher or two even, good OTs . And even more importantly, we need a much better Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and have an organizational change of thinking that lets us spend money on real talent . That is a lot of poo that may never be fixed, but its not outside the realm of possibility, but highly unlikely in the near future (2016 anyway).

Feel good thread here (cue the "baaahumbugs").

And I'm sure there have been similar threads, but I hope everyone really takes a moment to think about where this team is and what they realistically can accomplish.

We have three hall of fame foundations in the most important places (QB, MLB, Head Coach).

Cam has shown that he is literally an MVP talent.

Luke, with much respect toward Watt, is actually the best defensive player in the league.

We have a coach that was given time to develop his style and culture, and the players love giving their best for him.

We have a GM that is best in class in talent evaluation (Mayo's development is yet another example of this) and is setting us up for long term success.

Now there is nothing new or groundbreaking here. The majority of us know the above to be true. But in light of the poor showing on Friday, I felt like this needed to be said again and focused on.

I'm proud to be a Panthers fan no matter the outcomes, but ten years from now, this will be the team everyone discusses when the word "dynasty" is thrown around. The team that took the torch from New England as the class of the league.

You think Ron is a HOF potential HC? That's god awful judgement.

Yeah it's not like he was head coach of a team that won 17 of 19 games and was expected to pick up where they left off.

No need to attack me. Doubt even your vast wisdom foresaw the start to this season going this poorly.

The thing about Ron is the slow starts to the season.  Sometimes they turn around and we start winning.  Other times not.  One in five times it wasn't slow to start the season.  But I question what him and his staff do in the off season.  Anything?  They undoubtedly don't put in the effort of Bellicheck who comes out swinging every season even with backup QBs!

The Panthers are still going to be without consecutive winning seasons, and that pisses me off!  Change something in the off season to keep the other teams guessing.  We left SB50 doing some things and were great, but there is more than a year of film on those things, and teams aren't guessing now!  Change before others adapt Ron!!

Maybe we will be good again next season after we have had a year to catch up.  : /
