Tre Boston is a bright spot

Not sure if you have noticed, but Tre looks like the real deal out there, especially in run support 

 

Really solid play by Tre here, both in getting to the runner and solid tackling. 

He told me that he and Kurt are pretty much the same player out there, and will be switching off in free and strong safety. Those two position in the Panthers defense sometimes overlap.

He whiffed badly on a few tackles too, I really wish he'd break down his tackles and not launch himself at the ball-carrier. But got to take the good with the bad.

Yes - kept bringing it up yesterday afternoon for some reason. I thought it was pretty apparent there is some concern due to of a lack of healthy bodies.

tre is a very explosive player thats what i love about him . all he needs to do is just work on his tackling and coverage. he has potential to become another josh norman type of player for us.

Boston is a mixed bag, which is very scary being he's a safety.

Actually saw this from my seat.  I remember cringing seeing him go head first into a moshpit.

Yet, Boston misses one tackle and half the huddle is ready to replace him. It was the same with the Ed Dickson drop last night.

Boston has had a rep on him since colelge as being spotty.  It's nothing new, it's more of the people randomly hyping him up that's the weird thing. I hope he kills it and has improved but I'll wait until I see something regular season.
