I'm not worried, are you?

I don't understand how ppl can say they are worried about cam. He made good decisions and great throws in weeks 1 and 2, but he plays off and doesn't get help in week 3 and ppl lose their minds. What? It's freaking preseason. If preseason was an indicator of the regular season, Dak Prescott and Winston would be Co MVPs cmon guys get your head out of your asses.

Had this been a regular season game we would have fed jstew and cam would have ran all over those coverages.

Pretty sure the plan was to force the ball into absurd coverage to test our wide outs.the positive i take from this is ron and shula must feel very comfortable in us being abke to pick our run game back up immediately from where it was last year.

Here are my thoughts. I recorded the game and watched it after knowing we stunk up the joint so I was calm and looked at everything from a different perspective.

Cam looks horrid in most preseason games. I was actually surprised he looked so crisp in the first two so I think the expectation was there for us to move the ball at will. It could be that we played inferior competition even with vanilla offense. I don't know.

Cam seems to kind of be anxious in preseason and I think that has a lot to do with him not wanting to run the football and risk injury so it's kind of like he gets caught in between and can't play freely. It's something he's gonna have to work on as his athleticism diminishes later in his career. His cadence and control of the offense has grown so much the past couple of years. I have no doubt he will be a wizard when that time comes.

It also seemed like Cam was trying to force feed KB to get him going and get reps against starting DBs and gain some confidence on his knee. Read the SI interview with KB. It's gonna be a mental obstacle he's gonna need to overcome. And that will take a little time. I don't feel like Cam will be forcing tooooo much in regular season, but it's something to keep an eye on. Cam and Kb are close off the field, which mentally might affect his decision making on the field, I know that might sound odd but he will want KB to get his chances.

We ran the ball very, very well. Lots of good run blocking and superb pass blocking. CAP was slithery and hard to bring down. Great to see. I think if this wasn't a preseason game we would've pounded the rock more because we were running it down their throats. Also remember situationally Cam is a runner. One of our greatest threats. So when we went for it on 4th and 2 and passed. We more then likely run cam or call some sort of play action to Tolbert or Olsen.

tre Boston is embarrassing. Dude flails and flops around like an idiot. I love tre the person but he's gonna get us into trouble. He needs to be rotational. He's quick as fug and can really be used well in blitz packages but he is very concerning in coverage and being the last man of the defense.

Luke TD and Shaq are beasts. We are gonna see another year of amazing Lb play and I can't wait to see how they use Shaq as a nickel back to disguise coverages. So many different looks we can give a defense with this kids ability. Probably one of the top most athletically gifted athletes we have on the team that is full of athletic freaks. Amazing.

punter situation is retarded and scary. Need to do something asap because it can lose us close games easily. Very concerned.

dropped passes. Once again like ground hogs day. I'm gonna chalk it up to a bad day for everyone but man oh man it was cringe worthy. Play to the receivers strengths and especially ginn. If Dickson sucks at blocking their is no reason to keep him on the 53. Really nice dude but damn he makes some high school level mistakes. I'd rather keep a tight end that can just flat out block, or flat out catch. We have Olsen that can do a little bit of both. It'll be up to Shula to know how to use that TE.

Also a good thing to remember is that we usually come off pretty sloppy the first several games and then we start to get into a groove. Especially the first game. Happened last year but we just found ways to win the games. We're a really talented team, think we will be just fine when we really open things up and let players play to their strengths which we did all of last year.

Coleman doesn't look bad at SS

Boston just looks bad at FS

Not worried at all, but starting to think something going on with Philly Brown because of the coachs wanting to see that starting WR line up play together. Maybe Philly might be on IR soon or something.

Or maybe they didn't want to get philly b popped twice in the same week 2 weeks before the opener.. Could be wrong tho..

How about that Bradberry play where he gambled and got beat? Bradberry got up dejected and forfeited the big play only to have Kuechly come screaming by a jogging Bradberry to stop the play down the field from becoming a TD. Bradberry did start running faster when he realized Kuechly was still going full speed.

None of the rookie DBs have the tough aggressive non stop mentality needed to be a good DB in the NFL. Coleman, Boston, and McClain are that only DBs on the team that have that necessary mentality to succeed in the NFL.

The rest of the team (offense and defense) is going to have to bail the team out often for the problems that secondary will bring on a game to game basis. I just hope TD, Luke, and Shaq can continually make up for those DBs giving up on plays.
