Florio-Mara confirms league returns to pre-Ray Rice mindset

No, no it's not.  The Mara/Brown saga (and lack of exposure) is a game changer.  You don't have to be a Panther fan.  Anyone that values equality and fair treatment for all should be outraged by this mockery.

It isn't a game changer.  Rice/Hardy year was potentially a game changer.  But it appears to of been a hiccup.

NFL has never been about fair treatment for all or equality.  No point being outraged as it never has been a place to be looking for it

Nothing will be done about it because theyre satisfied that they used little ol Carolina has an example to show how morally superior they are.

It's so easy making examples out of our state. Our own media hates us and we have clueless people telling us that we should hate ourselves because we signed a guy like Hardy. Its all about posturing to make yourself look smart or morally better than someone else. When you get down to their agenda, youll find nothing was there but vanity.

Agreed, and it pisses me off that all this poo is more important than winning a Championship. I wish we can get rid of those fans and tell the media to go fug themselves. We would be an even better team.

Here's the thing about the NFL and pretty much all leagues in general. They make a point of emphasis only when society demands it. Every controversial figure that was expected to make a lasting change in the NFL has watched as the league has passed on to the next phase. Right now it's concussions. Domestic violence was the NFL's policy point of emphasis as long as the public cared. When they stopped caring, so did the NFL. The Ray Rice video was so shocking that it demanded that all teams be put on notice. It was so explosive they tried to contain it and did as much as possible to deny having even seen it prior to it getting out. Does that sound like a concerned party? Nope.

The concussion issue is hot right now, and changes are being seen on the field and sidelines to address that. But if or when the public decides they don't care that these athletes might have impaired quality of life after football, those rules will go lax as well. The NFL is in the business of making the NFL look progressive and proactive, not about protecting their players or even offering them resources once their career ends.

For months I've been told forget it, the league culture has changed, these are different times, JR cried after allowing #76 to play, don't want the distractions from a media that already hates us, etc.

Now that that's OFFICIALLY out of the way thanks to Grand Master Mara, it comes down to whether you side with one year of Jason "puppet" Garrett, Dez "woman/mother beater, state senator clashing" Bryant, Michelle "I just want to get f*(ked" Beadle, or multiple years of Ron Rivera, Thomas Davis, and Charles Johnson.

Funny thing is, we could sign the guy (for cheap) and HOLD OUR HEADS HIGH that we've done the RIGHT thing, as the books permanently etch the greatest team of all time into history.

What does Michelle Beadle have to do with this?

Quick summary-after impressing interviewer Adam Schefter, Michelle Beadle said she felt "dirty" that her station would give such scum as Greg Hardy Jr airtime.

League culture has changed.  They are now willing to be influenced by whatever is the current outrage in society.   As we know, that changes very rapidly.   Once the heat is off, the NFL adjust back.  NFL use to not give a poo.....now they give a poo about what the media opts to get outraged over (not that they actually care much about the specific issue)

and again, Hardy isn't playing because of Hardy at this point....not domestic violence.

It's like how  the NBA decided to protest NCs transgender law by moving to fuggin Louisiana.  One of the most backwards states in the country. They don't give a damn they just wanted the good PR from acting like they did.

If it truly has NOTHING to do with "domestic violence", why did the lion's share if not all of the articles mentioning interest from the Jaguars and Redskins inevitably and predictably start off by mentioning "domestic violence"?

NFL doesn't care....kill someone, beat someone, use drugs, abuse animals, abuse kids, you name it.  You can come back from anything if you have talent and follow some basic redemption steps.  At some point you have to simply come to realization that Hardy made himself in a unique spot.

lol hilariously wrong. Rice was ON video, punching and laying out a woman. He put himself in the same spot.

Now that the media has declared how morally superior they are along with the other teams theyre done. 2 small media market teams to pick on? np. The Giants? "forget about it"
