Not going to huddle, cause I know it's preseason..?.. Boston has looked meh, except for a couple great plays. Maybe someone should tell him, he'd be faster with a haircut. Carrying a extra 20 pounds doesn't help when taking bad angles. Sometimes it's hard telling him or ball apart, forget the hair it's the play. Still believe in Boston, need a good gunner since penalty machine Williams is looking on the outs.

It's already been stated it's merely for depth...

With that being said, Boston made plays when he was on the field last year. He would have been the starter last year, if it wasn't for Coleman playing better than even Getts & Rivera were expecting.

Dante has been a pretty steady player most of his career. Not sure why he had a down year with the Browns, but as depth, he'd be a valuable addition to the team.

He got burned against Seattle multiple times in 2014 playoffs. He had a 15 yard personal foul for unnecessary roughness in the 4th quarter vs the Broncos.

He didn't play like poo but he didn't exactly prove himself either. Hew was just a guy. Everyone wants him to be the answer because he's young, cheap, and drafted here. But he has to prove it on the field.

Whitner was a pretty damn decent safety for a few years there... not even that long ago.  He made like 3 or 4 straight pro bowls.

I wouldn't mind signing him at all and see if he has anything left in the tank to give us.  We don't ask too much out of our secondary anyways.

Didn't he have an unsportsmanlike penalty in the superbowl.  Trying to take the ball out of someone's hands or something of that nature

My problem is that I think Coleman is a star at FS and Boston is formidable with flaws.

Move Coleman to SS like we have done and you have a good starting SS..but now the Tre/Kurt combo has a glaring weakness in regards to run support and speed. Luckily, our front 7 is awesome but adding a SS rotational piece would be ideal.
