Don't think anyone here has mentioned Ron's post-game interview.  He said something about FOUR safeties trying out - I think tomorrow. (Sat)  2 vets (Whitner & Stevie Brown) and two young guys.

Donte would bring a physical veteran presence in the secondary that we seem to need.. Paired with are front 7 it's a good match.. Are current safeties don't really bring the boom they're ballhawk dbs

Yea, I wouldn't mind Whitner landing here. That way, we can move Coleman back to FS and Boston to the bench. I just don't see it with Tre

Was hoping Boston would be more Mitchell, than Godfrey, but he has looked mediocre-at-best since last season.  Maybe some competition pushes him to be better and turn his light on upstairs.  Maybe a vet is exactly what we need to seal up the back-end.  

I'm good with Whitner based on what most have said (vet presence, physical, smart, played on previous sh*tty teams).  It just makes too much sense with Getts and his previous years of signing a vet in the secondary on the cheap, that turns into a gem of an under-the-radar signing.
