You cut off some:

For its fourth year in a row, the Cam Newton Foundation has launched its “Super Cam Club,” the fundraiser that encourages fans to donate between $5 and $50 for each rushing and passing touchdown the quarterback gets during regular and postseason games.

After each game, Newton’s passing and rushing touchdown numbers will be combined for a total number of touchdowns. Those who pledge receive gifts like autographed pictures and jerseys at the end of the season, the foundation said in a statement this week.

The foundation is encouraging people to sign up by Sept. 8, the date of the Panthers’ regular season opener against the Denver Broncos.

The funds benefit programs for young people and education in Mecklenburg County. More information can be found at www.cam1newton.com/super-cam-club.

Newton’s foundation has donated over $310,000 directly to Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools since 2012.
