What exactly are you calling "being a sore winner"? .

When did they go to a press conference talking about how bad their opponents played? When did anyone talk about "we wanted to see if he could pass and he couldn't! Hawhawhawhaw" Surely if the Panthers were so bad at it, you'll have plenty of examples of times the team trash talked an opponent after a game.

I'm not going to look for every media blurb, but you can't possibly be unaware of all the attention the Panthers received for the way they celebrated.  The article I'm linking is actually asking if the negative reaction to Newton's celebration is racially motivated, but the author cites Brian Urlacher specifically, and refers to many others criticizing a lack of class in Newton's excessive celebrations.  I don't want to get bogged down on whether or not the criticism is justified, but it was present all season and that's the point I'm trying to make.

I know this isn't the fault of the Panthers organization, but I know I was not the only person irritated by planning parade routes through Charlotte the week before the game, as though losing wasn't even possible against the Broncos.  There are a lot of different ways to be a "sore winner", but you can't deny the Panthers, and their fans, approached the game with a lot of arrogance.

I think you may have some point to it. I knew Panthers were not going to win..too many people had them winning..and really truly they should have, but that's the trap that was set for the panthers and they fell for it ...especially Shula who left Cam out to dry..Defense did their job..but Shula didn't.  He did not prepare for Von miller.. Readers was suspect all year..even I knew that was going to be the weaklink in the offense. Compound ed by bad calls, unlike fumbles, Everybody beat the panthers, broncos, refs, media, and finally the panthers themselves. The titanic sunk because it had too many holes.. Just the way the NFL wanted.

Again, I asked what do you consider sore winning?

Having fun after a win, then getting down to business the next day? That isn't being a sore winner by any reasonable standard.

Sore winning is guffawing to the press after a game about how the opponent wasn't that good after all.

We can't help the media narrative. We were told we were a 7-9 team at best BEFORE our #1 WR went down for the year. We listened to talking heads say the Texans would destroy us, the Saints will embarrass us, the Seahawks might as well not even show up, the Eagles/Redskins/Colts/Packers were all going to embarrass us, the return of Tony Romo means a 65-0 win over the Panthers. The Giants are ending this streak. The Seahawks can't be beat in the playoffs, the Cardinals will be the one true powerhouse in the NFC.

You're butthurt because people finally picked us to win a game? Give me a fuging break.

I'm not butthurt at all.  I'm not the one crying about DT posting a ring picture in response to a loud mouth making noise from the wrong side of a 7 month old scoreboard without even having a game against him this coming season.  I think someone in your fanbase got it right in this thread.  Jno was almost excusing himself from the loss at the expense of the team, and DT was basically reminding him it's a team sport that's not built on individual accomplishment.  I don't think it was lacking any class, but a lot of you are acting like it was a spontaneous act to piss in your breakfast 7 months later and not the reaction it was to one of your own (former) guys instigating.

Again... what do you consider sore winning? Are you avoiding on purpose?

The Broncos have taken unprovoked shots at the Panthers since the Super Bowl. For example, Cam posted a picture on instagram playing water polo. In a totally "non-instigating, innocent, sportsmanlike" act, Von Miller posted this in response.

If I'm avoiding the question, it's because my personal feeling is not relevant.  I commented on the Panthers fans being upset by "sore winning" after the team being criticized for the same thing all season.  I gave you a link showing that criticism existed.  If you're just after my opinion for the heck of it, I think the Panthers were arrogant, but being great entitles you to be a little cocky if you want.  But it's not endearing, and you should be ready for people to toss it back at you if you stumble.

If I remember correctly about the picture, somebody else actually shopped it and posted it, and Von thought it was funny.

my last memory was shooting jack with @Cary Kollins after the Jstew touchdown. it's all a fog after that

I remember the confetti...coming...down...so beautiful. There was much rejoicing and everyone was happy. It was so great. The Cardinals looked really sad. Everything after that is a fog.

I mean, you threw around accusations of "sore winning" then posted an article about the team celebrating amongst itself. That's not really being a sore winner. I wanted to know what you consider to be a sore winner since you think celebrating with teammates is somehow related.

Taunting opponents after the fact is definitely sore winning. Are you going to say Von Miller's instagram post is not an example of sore winning? Are there examples of the Panthers pulling something similar, taunting opponents after the fact?

Celebrations were irrelevant until some entitled Tennessee soccer mom made it a big deal. ("Don't watch the scary black man dance. Watch the cheerleaders dance instead!") Then the Falcons found victimhood in a 38-0 loss. Media articles at the time were artfully crafted, calling group photos taken by a professional photographer "selfies."  The word "selfies" invoke irrational anger in old people. The media got the reaction it wanted.
