See, this is why "Super Bowl Champion", though the most sought after title, is the most useless and ridiculous title.

Why?

Demariyus Thomas has 1 catch for 8 yards in that Super Bowl.

ONE CATCH.

EIGHT YARDS.

And he's poo talking?  OK... lol

I disagree.

Thomas' response is perfect in this attention grab from Norman. He's basically saying "Congrats bro, you shut me down. My TEAM still won. If I'm not important in a win, then just how important were you in a loss?"

Norman is drawing all the attention and deflecting any blame by claiming he shut down Thomas. That's not what team players do. That's not what Cam or Luke say after a tough loss. You NEVER hear Cam or Luke throw anyone under the bus or deflect blame, it's always "I could have done more, we didn't execute like we could have", etc. It's never "We lost, yeah, but I played great right?!" because that's what all this bravado from Norman sounds like to me. At the end of the day all that matters is the W.

That's whats bothering me about this whole thing. He's coming across as a me first Diva because as long as he's doing fine, everything is fine. I don't want that on my team.

In all fairness, CBs and WRs are some of the biggest divas in the NFL generally. =)

Personally, I'm growing bored with the whole thing. JNo is the highest paid corner in the NFL.  This is the treatment he's going to get unless he follows up this year with shutting everyone down.  Since he also responds to EVERYTHING, he's only making himself a bigger social media target.

I loved him when he was here, but I kind of just don't care much now.

Panthers celebrated during games and moved on to the next one.  I get SB is the king of games, but really there were only 2 plays and Peyton manning retiring that gave them the game..it's not lIke Panthers got slaughtered.  Coaches had no superbowl coaching experience they did. Panthers at there worse were still capable of winning that game..I say you won cause you got the ring and title, but the real question is why? You definitely weren't the better team.

Meh corners are a different breed. Sherman talked mad poo and about how great he is on Twitter when they were going to superb owls and he's definitely a team player. So was josh, let's not forget how much the locker room loved this guy.

The best corners usually have the best bravado think it just comes with the territory. Josh was tooting his own horn the entire time he was here.

So let me see if I've got this straight.  Norman calls out Thomas in an interview 7 months after the game, and Thomas is a "sore winner" for responding to him?  Norman is allowed to talk all the crap he wants and Thomas is supposed to just sit and take it?

The Panthers were called out repeatedly last season for being sore winners, and Cam's response was to tell people to stop him.  Of course you guys think it was all in good fun, but it wasn't fun for the 17 teams you beat down.

The other thing you all need to understand, is Broncos fans listened to 2 weeks of unrelenting diatribe about how big a beatdown the Panthers were going to give them.  We heard it from analysts and we heard it from fans.  We got the biggest dose from Panthers fans who basically spent 2 weeks celebrating the inevitable Super Bowl win and trash talking without mercy.  There were media outlets talking about the parade route before the game.  When you come at the biggest game of the season with that type of arrogance, you need to expect some backlash when things don't go as planned.

It's just especially ridiculous for you to be mad at Thomas, who did nothing but respond to being called out.

Richard Sherman didn't have to be watched by Bobby Wagner to prevent him from saying or doing something stupid. Richard Sherman was never benched because he chose to go rogue and cost us games.

Josh Norman is a liability. He's too emotional and his antics are too distracting. I don't know how Rivera kept a lid on him but he's Washington's problem now. He's talking trash left and right and signing broadcasting contracts without permission.

Thomas deserved to call out Norman too. Why? Because football is a team sport. The Broncos as a team kicked our asses. Josh is so consumed with personal stats that he forgot that.

That may very well be and I know TD had to reign him in. But I'm not gonna sit here and act like he wasn't elite on this team, or brought an edge to the secondary that we haven't seen in a long time. That personality and play comes with some baggage. And last year it worked. We'd be better with him both on the field, and the locker room. The guys loved him, don't think there is any doubt about that.

i ain't bitter about it tho. Hometown kid, walk on coastal Carolina, late round pick for hometown team. He fought and clawed his way to the top. I got nothing but love for him.

What exactly are you calling "being a sore winner"? .

When did they go to a press conference talking about how bad their opponents played? When did anyone talk about "we wanted to see if he could pass and he couldn't! Hawhawhawhaw" Surely if the Panthers were so bad at it, you'll have plenty of examples of times the team trash talked an opponent after a game.

Cam's "if you don't like me dancing, keep me out of the endzone" was in direct response to a question about Avery Williamson confronting him during a touchdown celebration. The same Avery Williamson who danced after sacking Cam a few plays prior, and eventually admitted he was wrong to react to Cam the way he did.

So, let's get this straight. Williamson made a big play, then turned to the crowd, did a fun dance craze the kids are doing these days, and nobody made a big deal about it. It wasn't an affront to humanity. It was just a player celebrating.

A few minutes later, Newton made a big play, turned to the crowd, and did a fun dance craze the kids are doing these days. Williamson made a HUGE deal about this, and now it's a topic for discussion on talk radio and ESPN.

The things they did were almost identical. The only difference is that one of them happened after a good thing for Williamson, and the other happened after a bad thing for Williamson. This isn't about Cam Newton being a disgrace to the integrity of the game. This is about Williamson having hurt feelings and acting on it.

Celebrating with your teammates is "sore winning" now?

Oh lawdy.
