we could have had him for dirt cheap and not have to start 2 rookies at CB1 and CB2. We could have let all the rookies compete for the CB2 spot and then if Peanut went down with injury, the rookies will have had more time to prepare for the season. Low risk, high reward.

Also Tillman is a good coach and veteran.

When would you have him start?

Tillman? I would have started him week 1. Reports suggest that Worley is not quite ready, but we are going to force him out there against the superbowl champs in his first NFL game.

Tillman tore his ACL in week 16 and he's 35. He can barely run right now. It took KB nearly a full year to fully practice again and he's still working on conditioning.

Why is Bene or even McclainMcClain not an option to start aside from Bradberry

This is what I'm thinking as well.
McClain played fine when we brought him in last year, not shut down but made plenty of nice plays on the ball.
If Worley isn't ready, McClain is serviceable against less non-allstar wide-outs.

The Worley thing is pretty hilarious, he gave up like 70 yards to a QB-WR combo that will probably be really good this year. He never got burnt deep, or really even badly. He just got outplayed at the ball a few times (mostly in a row) then immediately made the stop. If that's him getting roasted then he's an amazing corner.
