Ok one fact that needs to be discussed. CAM NEWTONS HAND SIGNALS WERE KNOWN at the superbowl. Cam audibles with his hands to the receivers. That dirty scumbag Alib and Harris, knew the routes the receivers were going to run presnap. Jonathan Stewart was injured on the second snap of the game. Then the blocking scheme melted down. We had two other problems before pass protection.

Good point on the signals.

KB back in the lineup makes a big difference. But good points on the hand signals and the blocking. The Panthers were not ready to make in game adjustments. They've never been good at that even going back to John Fox. The Panthers won a lot of games by scoring a lot of points early before the other team could figure out wtf was going on. The Broncos did their homework and shut down the offense. Not all teams have that kind of talent on their defense.

It isnt a very popular subject... but i said it as soon as we lost and I still believe it today.

We were overconfident. We acted all weekend like we had already won the game and I dont think we were in the right frame of mind.

I even remember before the game feeling like something was wrong.

I hope this year the team remains more humble. Coach Ron was humble, but I think he let the excessive celebrating get out of hand with all of the picture taking and stuff like that. We gave our opponenet bulletin board material by acting like we couldnt be beaten.

I know, not a very popular opinion...

Felt this as well, even until the kickoff.

I mentioned it over and over "I hope the lights aren't too bright for our boys"....they were.  Cam had a bad day, the WR's had a bad day, the coaches had a bad day, and that lead to many fans having many bad days.

Either way, you DO NOT let another teams best player beat you.  We let Von beat us that day, and they were able to beat Cam that day.  Still believe that 2015/2016 was set up for our best shot at a Lombardi, and the offense just poo the bed.

in fairness, on a lot of those plays that Von Miller cashed in on....if Remmers would have help up for literally 1 second there were big pass plays downfield Cam was about to make.  WRs got open.

Stewart getting hurt was big.  No RB not named Stewart ever looked good running between the tackles last year.

Issue was Remmers couldn't hang long enough.  If he was able to hold I see no reason why that game wasn't ours.  Why Carolina didn't have a better plan for Von and didn't adjust I have no idea.  Maybe it was because they were literally so close on those costly plays they kept figuring they would eventually get them
