This entire run play hinges on Williams getting push on his man.  Which he does, about 5 or 6 yards upfield. 61 and 85 pull behind him. The rest falls into place. Sandland looks better here.

lol GD that is the kind of stuff I am talking about with Sandland... He basically took his guy out of the play completely and was at the second level looking for someone else to block...

Also of note, Yankey was late getting to his outside man on the pull block... That would have made the hole slightly bigger... He still made a good adjustment, but the LB kind of plugged the hole with the move he made...

Also, Marcus Lucas kind of got in the way...

The people talking about the gaping hole on the left side have no idea what they're talking about.  There's a linebacker waiting right behind it, but because the RB went right, that LB broke to the inside to follow him.  Had Tolbert gone left (which would've required a cut I'm not sure he's even capable of making), then that LB would've plugged the gap.

I'll take a back with vision and can cut to 1 v 1 a linebacker any day .. the hole is there and Tolbert does what Tolbert does .. Run into a crowd and hope to bouce around .. Nice try though Servant

Tolbert had about a half a second to decide to either cut back or follow his blockers. Give the man a damn break already.

maybe not, that was Tolbert with the ball. he's not on the team because of his blazing speed, his forte is making would be tacklers wish they had taken up a non-contact sport instead.

Fozzy is probably the only back on our team that could have made that cut back to the left side. Then again the defense could be more mindful of that if he was inserted.
