Johnson has had three double digit sack seasons, and has showed up in the sack column in every one of those preseasons, including 2 sacks in week 3 of his breakout 2010 season.

DE is like QB. If you're any good everybody knows because the market for premium players in that position is very small because great ones don't come around that often. 

You're not scaring anybody with DeLaire or Horton and if your safety doesn't get there you're burned if it's Tom Brady or Drew Brees.

In 2013 the constant narrative was that we could get pressure with 4 and how obviously awesome that was.

OK but who cares what he did in the 2010 preseason? He was still a young player then. I'm sure he has learned to pace himself as he grows older.

 

Seriously, how do you even know what he did in the 2010 preseason? Can you even look that up?

Thats where I'm at with this group. Just a bunch of guys so far.

We had a bright future at DE before the fiasco. The FO made some big mistakes.

Its ok to make those mistakes if you actually go out and correct them one way or another.

DE's are expensive, especially known commodities so it's a tough situation and if you aren't willing to forgive others it's even harder....

I sincerely don't think any decision Dave Gettleman has made could legitimately be criticized at this point.  Even the Kugbila pick, we still got our guy in Klein in the 5th and missed out on no one of note.  Truly mind-boggling.  The JNo decision deserves the benefit of the doubt, and while I question the "a lot" part of the what to do with the $14 million question, the jury is still out and Bradberry especially looks like a stud.

But there is only one way that the wrongs of the league can be righted and the DE situation significantly upgraded without significant additional resources invested.  Ironically it's not on GMan.

Simonson?  He's still clearly #3 on depth chart, nothing really changed, but was hoping to see him flash.

Garrett?  Was he even ever on the field?

Hard for me to really say too much about CAP / Wegher.  I wonder if we're deliberately not playing Wegher with the 1s so as to be able to safely stash him on the PS.  CAP had a couple of nice runs.  I'm not too worried about him.

 

i think you mean marcus ball , lester aint on the roster.
