Did the mod who has the Juan alt forget the gimmick is only for 3 word maximum posts? jk

I'm a big fan of Worley but it was definitely an iffy game.  He actually had some good looks but his rookie lapses showed big.

Mayo, Klein and Cash are perfect depth LBs.  I think Mayo would be a starter on most teams.  Really want Cash to make the team.

I don't like our safety situation but don't think it will hinder us that badly come the regular season, similar to last season.

Helped:

Bene Benwikere

Damiere Byrd

Kevin Norwood

David Mayo

James Bradberry

Eric Crume

2nd string Oline - Hawkins?  I wasn't watching them too closely, but they seemed better this week.  Need to go back and watch more closely to see who did well...

Fozzy - nice shiftiness

Delaire on pass rush

Robert Lester

Hurt:

Sandland (especially thinking of the one play when he was pushed back into our backfield)

Simonson?  He's still clearly #3 on depth chart, nothing really changed, but was hoping to see him flash.

Garrett?  Was he even ever on the field?

Delaire re: Run blocking

Hard for me to really say too much about CAP / Wegher.  I wonder if we're deliberately not playing Wegher with the 1s so as to be able to safely stash him on the PS.  CAP had a couple of nice runs.  I'm not too worried about him.

Robert Lester is no longer on the team, you're referring to Marcus Ball I presume?

Very funny. Also, Tre Boston looked god out there.

Yes, and if Boston had the game Coleman had yesterday these boards would be losing their minds. Totally wiffed on Murray (Boston made the tackle) and then that TD was softer than Worley's coverage. Not worried, just saying how selective the memory is around here.

Charles Johnson is shot.

Didn't see him get much push, saw him battling but didn't make plays you'd expect from a starter. Defense did a good job creating pressure with LBs and DBs though but more people should be worried about DE quality and depth.

As a day one Panther fan I can't remember a more precarious state of affairs at DE. I've spent so many years roasting Hurney for not addressing the DT and now we are stacked there so no worries about the middle anymore.

I did see the Titans RB's testing the edges with pretty decent results. Needless to say, DE will have a target on their backs as a position group.

Without Johnson we'd be in big trouble and that's very telling. Coaches gotta work with what the FO gives them though, whether they like it or not, so we are what we are.

Defense played well though

I've been called a homer before on this board and off, but anyone that doesn't feel concern for the DE position must have a middle name of Ostrich.

GMan knows this, and it's why he said to CJ himself he "may" be starting.  He just needs a green light from JR.
