It's a sub package so maybe it's possible. I remember one of our sub packages was called the NASCAR package, I believe that was the one where we had a LB at the DE position.

Are we talking a true 'hand in the dirt' DE or more of a blitzing outside linebacker?

The latter? Yeah, I could see TD doing that. The former? Not so much.

Last time I remember us using the "nascar" package was when we had a LB named Norwood. I believe we had a 3-3-5 package with a LB as a DE.

Norwood was a hybrid, and part of the Ron Meeks experiment if I recall correctly.

He was also terrible.

Yeah so good we went and traded for Allen last year for more pass rush, so good we had to take Delaire from Washingtons practice squad ... Remmers worked out from Denvers practice squad, Delaire seems as if he's a bust though .. Alexander > Delaire

You can't scheme around not having pass rush, you just can't

Um, yeah...our front 7 is one of the best

more than one way to pressure.  For example last year we did it with the interrior DL paired with now our signature A gap LB blitz

more than one way to skin a cat.  That is what Ron has always shown if you follow his career on D

you seem hung up on you can only play if your stacked at DE and have everyone cashing in off them.   It works other ways.

Did you not watch our D last year? I'll take a D that takes the ball away consistently better over one with better sack numbers all day.

2015 D > 2013 D
