Carolina Panthers welcome former Wofford punter Kasey Redfern

The Panthers signed Redfern on Monday and waived punter Swayze Waters, who tweeted he was surprised to be cut so soon. Redfern, Wofford’s punter in 2010-13, was at training camp with San Diego before being waived last week.

Seems like we should be trying harder...or at all, to find a decent punter. How did the conversation go?

"Wow, Swayze is really bad at this. Does Wofford have a punter?"

"Sir, we can't sign Wofford's punter. He's still in college"

"Damn it man! Are you going to give me solutions or just more excuses!"

"Well, Wofford's old punter graduated. He tried out for San Diego but was pretty horrible."

"What does this have to do with our punter situation!?"

"Sir, he's edging the flower beds right behind you."

There's plenty of speculation that the Broncos will cut Button Colquitt since they drafted a punter.

The family name 'Colquitt' has actually belonged to several good punters.
