He drafted Ealy in the 2nd in 2014....

Do you guys think that DE's grow on trees?  There is a reason that Tampa, NO, and ATL have struggled to get pass rush help the last few years.

Positions that we have a top 5-10 unit.

QB

LB

DT

WR

TE

G/C

We have a ton of talent here, but you won't be able to fill every single hole.  While I do worry about our DE's and T's..it's just the way the game is.

That was two years ago, and I said couple of years.  IE this year, and last.

It's far more than one preseason game.  He's an UDFA from Towson who only flashed in one game period.  I have seen him out of uniform and can tell you he simply doesn't look like an NFL DE, in or out of uniform.  GMan said Butler was a whole lotta man.  Think the opposite of Ryan.  I wish him best of luck in future endeavors, but he needs to go.

Exactly he was a an UDFA that's entering his second season. Everyone knows it take's DE 3 years to become good NFL players. He didn't only have one good game check out the seahawks and redskins games and also he played hurt. Did Addison look like a DE when he came to Carolina ? Addison was listed at 250 now up to 260. Delaire might not make the roster but I'm not going to bash him for 1 preseason game.

Let's trade for Joey Bosa.

Trade deadline and rookie wage pool make it impossible.  Bosa can be a Panther next year in several ways if the admiration RR shared at the draft PC still holds true and they feel he's worth what it will take, but not this year.

Thanks but no thanks.  Bosa (his agent) is trying to set precedence to bust the rookie salary cap.

What we would have to give up for him would not be worth the headache.  Gettleman didn't put up with Norman (agent) he damn sure isn't going to put up with a rookie.

Not accurate.

Lol its quite the opposite. The Chargers are trying to pay less of his guaranteed upfront than literally all other 1st round picks since the new CBA. If they'd just stop being cheap, there would be no problem.

You are 100% wrong on this one.

The Bolts are strong arming HIM. Precedence has already been set for the #3 pick in the draft to either have his signing bonus spread out OR have offset language, not both. The Bolts have a Long history of being dickbags to their draft picks

17 of the teams 28 1st round draft picks have held out since Spanos took the team over in 84. The article above explains things in great detail.

Stand corrected.  I had heard at one time that he wanted all the guarantee money in the first year or something like that.

vernon butler really was a brilliant pick now that it's all said and done. gives us leverage with short and it keeps the interior DL fresh and hungry, which is going to be help give marginal DEs one-on-one matchups late in the game.

and don't forget butler can kick out wide - don't be surprised to see mcdermott throw in a few wrinkles that have him rushing the passer.
