Ok I knew Funch was smoking today in camp

Judging by the tweets, but damn looking at today's video.... wow I surely didn't expect him to shoot off this fast. What's crazy is Kelvin was dominating last year his 2nd year in TC too before he got hurt. Was his injury possibly a blessing in disguise because it gave Funch valuable reps as a rookie?

I still kind of wished me drafted Derrick Henry in the 1st. Dude looks like a straight up beast, and that's behind Tennessee's line. Think what he could have done here with Cam and Co. Oh well, next year's draft is a deep RB draft and HOPEFULLY we snag at least one with oozing potential.

As for Funchess, the dude has improved in strides from last year. His route running is so silky smooth, his catch radius and size is elite, his hands (which seemed like it was going to be a problem early on last year) are very sticky and just snags it out of the air, and his confidence is through the roof. He reminds me of Brandon Marshall a lot.

Like I've stated several times on here:

Funchess' ceiling is higher than Benjamin's.

no...just saying.

but i do in fact like both, and also even moreso love the fact that these two pups are still wet behind the ears

I kept telling people that 6'3" 250 lb RBs with Cam type speed 4.55/ 4.51 ish don't grow from trees. That is generating some serious power at the point of his first couple steps. But they kept saying, oh he runs too upright blah blah. Doesn't matter when it can be fixed. You can't coach that size.

If teams cover Funchess with DBs like Lou Young and Trenton Robinson, he will look like a beastly #1. So, how many teams on the roster will be matching up DBs like that with Funchess? As soon as Funchess matches up with an average physical CB in McClain, he shows us all what we saw last season.

Until then he is a #3 at best against the Patrick Peterson's and Josh Norman's of the NFL.

History should have taught you that weak units make the opposing players look better and make them ill prepared for the tougher competition on the field.

Look at the first preseason game. Look at what KB did in his limited time out. Look what Funch did.

I swear, put KB, Funch, and Olsen on the field and DARE a defense to cover all 3 effectively. You can't. You don't have enough guys who are big and fast enough to do it. Can't double team them all.

Now throw Ginn/Philly out there. That's our offense now folks. We'll be run heavy, and we'll be running a lot of two tight end sets it seems....but when we open up this offense, NOBODY can touch it if we execute. It's honestly not even fair.

Also, if KB and Funch are on the field at the same time, you're dictating what the defense is doing. #1 corner is gonna have to cover KB, so Funch will kill most #2 corners in the league.....and vice versa. You can take away one of them (maybe), but you can't take away both. One of those two are gonna have to be covered one on one, or Greg Olsen is. And if Olsen is....well, we know what happens when Greg is left one on one. And again, Ginn/Philly will be out there running drags, slants, and a variety of deep routes to compliment. You cannot stop this offense if it is executed.

I think this offense is going to absolutely crush teams into submission this season. People are complaining about losing that last game against Baltimore...but the first team offense and first team defense looked in mid season form already in the short time they were out there.

Funchess and Benjamin on the outside, with Ginn/Philly in the slot, plus freaking Greg Olsen....we should once again be the number 1 offense in the league this season. I cannot freaking wait for September 8th!!
