Chargers signed DL Alfonso Boone, formerly of the Chiefs.

Boone knows DC Ron Rivera's scheme and has less tread on his tires than most 33-year-olds, but it's a big stretch to think he'll solve San Diego's run defense woes. The Chargers, who've yielded 278 rushing yards already, may have to use more four-man fronts after losing NT Jamal Williams.

Depth at dt................lol, you mean depth at no bodies............Dont forget kemo is not exactly star power.

Some one has to be signed. If we are moving a 3-4 olb to dt or johnson to DT we are in sever trouble..........wellllllllllllllllllll more so than we already are.

has anyone mentioned he had 1 of the 2 sacks so far?

The guy was a beast. I saw him get a lot of penetration in that game. I mean there on one drive he was the only player I watch because he was getting so much. I am so pissed about this I though he was an awesome pickup.

The Carolina Panthers are working out free agent defensive lineman Antwon Burton today, accoding to a league source.

Burton was cut by the St. Louis Rams during their final major roster cutdown.

Burton was originally signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2006 out of Temple.

Burton, 26, has previous stints with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

In 2007, Burton recorded four tackles with the Broncos.

He was on the Chiefs and Rams' rosters last season, but didn't play in any games.
