Overblown.

If it was simply overblown....he would have a job right now.  That is just reality and fully supported by tons of examples of teams dealing with idiots every year.

True, but they care about Hardy's behavior....which is why a top 5 talent DE is unemployed.

Vick, Peterson, one of the thousand pot heads....they have jobs.

Hardy is Hardy's problem today

I like to think with the role models we have on this team can keep Hardy in line.

Things aren't what they were 40 years ago...  30... 20... 10...

We've already seen a negative impact, from our first fuging go-round with this.

Yeah, the NFL wields 10 times more power, and society is much more jaded. You act like there are no questionable cats in the NFL at this very moment. And, sure, there was a negative impact, mainly from Hardy not being on the field. The so-called public backlash was like a fly at a picnic.

Just put it this way. If Hardy had been allowed to stay here, then he never would have been in Big D, further sullying his reputation from being in a foreign land being frustrated from being away from home.

Dave Gettleman has made some pretty strong statements regarding the type of player that the organization wants.

One, we're not interested in "dummies".

And two, "assholes" need not apply.

The team believes that the best way to win is to go with smart, high character players. It would be a pretty extreme stretch to suggest that Hardy qualifies under either of those categories.  You could, however, make a pretty good argument that he fits into either or both of the categories Gettleman has stated that he doesn't want.

It's not a matter of "balls". It's an understanding that dumb people do dumb things that hurt the team (a fact that's been proven true time and again).

To go after a guy like Hardy, they would have to throw their entire philosophy out the window, and there's no indication that they're willing to do that (nor any compelling argument that they should).

Indeed. They played the post-incident role that was required of them and immediately got back in the game.

Hardy spent a year and a half telling the NFL and every team out there "Fug you and fug your role, imma do what I want!"

Now that he can't sniff a job? NOW he wants to play the role and tell everyone he's changed.  But NOW is too late because he already proved to every team what he intends to be and how he intends to behave LAST year with the Cowboys.  He auditioned for "the role", but instead of playing the keep-your-head-down-I-ain't-causin'-no-trouble role that was required, he decided the role was fug-you-all-I'm-Mr.-Badass-Kraken.  So now everybody knows that his current try at keep-your-head-down-I-ain't-causin'-no-trouble is a bunch of fake bullshit.

Hardy to Carolina is the easiest thing to see ever since Norman's tag was rescinded

Yeah, we're winning the Super Bowl this year

*Cuts All-Pro CB*

That isnt what a top tier organization does ... UNLESS

They know they are replacing that All-Pro CB with an All-Pro DE

Are you a troll or an idiot? Which is it?

That's true, but it's interesting that Hardy was really neither before he met Holder. Odd, perhaps, yes. A dumb asshole? Not really. Just a young kid that needed some guidance in order to mature. And he was doing so. What a waste.

So now she actually changed his whole personality and turned him into the guy he is now?

Dang. That's some serious mind-warping.

How long were they together again?

It's not a fuging matter of Hardy being a questionable person in the NFL...  Go back to the first time you quoted me, and re-read what I had to say about giving people another chance.  Society today is ultra sensitive to certain issues.  That poo haunted Dallas all year long.  His actions while there, were just icing on the cake.  You're blind if you can't see what bringing him here would do to this team.  All these fuging activist groups blowing us up every single fuging day, likely trying to cause boycotts and protests.  The media, and not just ours but national, tirelessly wanting to talk about it to our players/coaches, every single day.  Extra, unneeded, unwanted attention, all the fuging time, and you think it wouldn't have a toll on our players, coaches, and the locker room?  Bullshit.  It did the first time, and it would the next time.  Doesn't matter how "professional" our guys are, that poo takes a huge toll on people, because at the end of the day, they're still human.
