People say Hardy will bring "baggage and publicity" like we don't have Cam Newton as QB

OK, Hammerin'Cameron could get annoying but for sure this is just someone trolling the crap out of his name right!?!?!? Zod, you throwing out the old off season smokescreen again!?

Then the Jesus people should also be fine with us re-signing him.

Hardy had a second chance and went full retard in Dallas.  Dallas will put up with anyone as long as they can play and even Hardy was too much.

aint to unfair media bias impacting Dallas' decisions

Hardy wasn't really an issue here outside of this one issue. The issue us fans took with him was the motorcycle accident, posting pictures going 110 mph and of course the domestic case of which I don't believe there was a victim and that both were perpetrators that led to the observed outcome.

Now I ain't sayin she a gold digga, but she ain't messin with no....well you get the point.

I can't get over how anti-Hardy this place is

You guys do realize by saying "we don't want this elite DE"

You really are saying we don't want to win the Super Bowl, getting there is fine .. as if we will even be as good as we were last year. If you arent improving you are getting worse, and our D is clearly getting worse if you don't sign Hardy which is clearly why we are

You dont cut your best CB, draft 3 rookie CB's, draft a rookie DT, and say, TIME TO WIN A RING

No .. there is a clear plan behind all of this and the plan is that we will sneak an ALL PRO DE on our roster right before week 1

Is Hardy going to repay the $13M he stole from the Panthers first?

That's the part people don't understand. He would be an instant improvement, but it's never going to happen

People need to understand the reason it's never going to happen.  Everyone wants to chime in about the DV, or the stupidity in Dallas, or "JR is just an old stubborn fart.  It's not about any of that.  Right now, it's 100% about the public/media backlash the organization would receive from it, and it's just not worth it.  Simple as that.

Does he deserve another shot?  Depends on who you ask I guess, but I believe in giving people a chance to redeem themselves.  Some people say, "that's what Dallas was, and he screwed that up to."  While true, he's done the right thing since, in going to rehab, anger management, etc.  Unfortunately, in today's society, everyone has to look for a reason to be offended, or victimized.  I'm not talking about real victims here, as they have every right to feel that way.  The result would be, that we'd have countless groups of protesters on our doorstep, every day of the week.  With that, comes a huge media presence.  It's just not worth it.  It would be nothing but a pain in the ass for our organization, and a huge distraction for our team.

I think you are taking the Hardy, Cam comparison a little too literal ... the bottom line is, the Carolina Panthers don't give a mo' fuQ about what the media thinks about a player

You're completely fuging delusional, if you think the media, and other outlets, don't have an enormous effect on a decision like that.

Damn a public backlash. All you need is some big cojones and fortitude to withstand some largely irrelevant opinions. The Panthers have the locker room and professionalism to handle that issue with ease. And, in my personal opinion, his services would eclipse that anyway. If Hardy returned and just played successfully, people would soon forget.

Jerry and the team already have the blueprint to handle this as I alluded to earlier: Grace and second chances! They can frame his return in a positive manner easily. Jerry just doesn't want to because he's too much of a company man, worried more about image and giving a damn what people think than bringing the wayward son back home and filling a position of obvious need
