I don't disagree in the slightest.  So if he was allowed to play in Tampa, Florida in September 2014 for $13+ million, why in H#LL is he not allowed to play now for the minimum?  Because of how he supposedly interacted with girlfriend and mother beater Dez Bryant and Co?!  That's it?!

Hubby explained it quite well.

And Csx is right. We don't want him. Right now, neither does anyone else.

Some other team might change their mind at some point. The Panthers aren't going to, and 100,000 fan letters won't change that fact.

Hardy IS free to play for the minimum. He IS free to sign with any team that offers him contract. The problem is....everyone is afraid of him. No one trusts him.

Hardy did not have to be a model citizen last year. Hellz, I bet Dallas was ready for some hiccups. Yet he still caused too much of a distraction for even Dallas to want him back. And whether you want to believe it or not, he was a distraction. Off the top of my head there are sideline antics, late for meetings, calling out team mates, and yelling at coaches.

He was given a second chance to show he can be trusted, in Dallas no less, and he pooed the pooch.

Hardy ain't dumb. Yet on the one subject that could set him up for life. He seems to be clueless.

There's that "we" word again...i.e. ""we've" still got Greg in our hearts, he's always a brother", CJ.  We in your case=JR doesn't want the backlash.

I think Hardy is almost totally lacking in self-awareness.

A lot of us have known that one friend who thinks he's cool and doesn't understand why people don't like him / avoid him. Hardy is that guy.

Does Charles Johnson make roster decisions?

"We" includes the people who actually make those decisions.

Can you show me any shred of evidence that Dave Gettleman is actively interested in getting Greg Hardy back on this team?

The fact that he tagged the man when there were MANY other ways he could have used $13+ million in a penny pinching year, "you can't have too many good pass rushers", our DE's are worse than he or anyone even imagined, the team leaders consider him a brother, he would be cheap, he's the #1 FA available, etc.

Don't need more than that.  You also never responded to the "assholes" and "dummies" post when I responded by saying Finnegan literally aspired to be the league's biggest asshole http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/09/16/cortland-finnegan-aspires-to-be-the-nfls-dirtiest-player/ and KB had a 7 on the wonderlic.  Greg Hardy Jr is a complete no brainer if you're GMan, again, don't need more than this.

Name me something Finnegan did wrong off the field and the comparison applies. The comparison to Benjamin is just ridiculous.

I asked for some shred of evidence that Gettleman wants Hardy right now. His wanting him for a one year rental before all the s--t hit the fan doesn't mean squat here and now.

If that's all you have, you've got nothing.

No need to mention what Finnegan did off the field because the guy whose place Hardy Jr would take got busted and suspended for using PEDs off the field and is a fringe NFL player at best even with the rosiest colored glasses.

Even I've said it's a long shot but I've also said that as unfair as the negative press would be, that there is a strategic PR strategy to lessen the blow and distractions while veteran Hardy Jr works out in Florida with the world's foremost combine trainer, ready to plug and play on a moment's notice (much moreso ironically than Finnegan on the couch would be).  Why would GMan let that out of the bag, whether there's interest or not?

In other words, you've got nothing either, but the discussion has been had.  No, I wasn't privy to it and JR may have quickly shut it down, but no matter what was said, you, Mr. Scot, and me, ctrcat, do not know what was said.  JR, GMan, and maybe RR.  That's it.

If you think that makes no sense, do you have a brain ?

The only world cutting a All-Pro CB makes sense in a year we're contenders is a world in which you replace the All-Pro CB with an All-Pro DE

How honestly does that not fuging make sense ?

I'm pretty sure this has already been explained to you, but I'll try again.

Norman wasn't cut. To be cut, you have to be signed to the team , and Norman was a free agent.

He was tagged with the franchise tag but refused to sign it and negotiations were going nowhere. Rather than waste time and risk a distraction, Gettleman rescinded the tag.

Not a single thing about any of that drama had anything in the world to do with Greg Hardy.

What I've got are Dave Gettleman's comments about not needing a time bomb, our own forum owner (who actually does have inside access) confirming repeatedly that Hardy is not gonna be back, numerous other sources saying the same thing and most important of all the fact that Greg Hardy is still unemployed and the team is making no effort to reach out to him or rehab his image.

You want Hardy back, I get that, but a pipe dream conspiracy theory and/or a letter writing campaign aren't gonna make it happen.

Hardy has done too much damage to himself to ever be brought back here. He had a great chance to show his worth and he blew it. And no, that isn't the Cowboys' fault, Nicole Holder's fault, Jerry Richardson's fault, the Illuminati's fault or anyone else's fault but Greg Hardy's. He is literally his own worst enemy.

He's gone and were gonna roll with what we've got. If we do sign a veteran, it won't be Hardy.

Accept it. You'll save yourself a lot of disappointment.
