I don't care whether they sign hardy or not but I really need to know when he became the best de to ever play the game. I mean I've seen claims in this thread that the panthers lost the last 2 super bowls because he didn't play and that they are pretty much guaranteed a win this year if they sign him. I know he was pretty good while here but I guess last sb he would have played rt and receiver in place of cotchery.

One more thing, how bad was Dallas if they weren't even able to make the playoffs with the wonder de on the team?

Of all the football teams over the nearly three prior decades to strap on a helmet at the highest level, the 2013 Panthers had more sacks than any of them and he was the biggest reason, with a below average secondary to boot.  The league hasn't let him play a full season since.

Players change teams for a variety of reasons all the time, including Hall of Famers.  Case in point, the two headliners this year, Brett Favre and Kevin Greene.  Changed teams multiple times for various reasons.  Not fitting with Dallas is a compliment more than an insult IMHO.

Well I was also good at duck duck goose when I was 7 but I'm thinking I would suck at it now...

There are still people here that would love to trade Cam.

Some never liked Hardy in the first place. Before he left he was about to be among the highest paid at his position so anybody saying Kony is better needs a pill or two. I like Kony but he needs double digits to be on the level of veterans like Johnson AND Hardy. I'd take Pep right now. Some people hate on Pep and always will.

DeLaire and Cox (back)are questionable, so if it's a football question, Hardy is the no brainer. Plug and play.

Last year was last year. We don't even have Jared Allen

Don't let their feelings hurt you

"Trouble at Defensive End: While the wide receivers position looks as good as it ever has, the Carolina Panthers defensive end depth remains a concern. Charles Johnson and Kony Ealy will be the starters, and that should be good enough when they are on the field. However, defensive ends are frequently rested during games, making depth a hugely important piece of the defensive end puzzle. The Panthers had hopes that second year defensive end Ryan Delaire would step up this year, but that just has not been the case so far. Delaire looked less than stellar against Baltimore, to put it nicely. Mario Addison and Wes Horton look like they always have, just good enough to make the roster."

There IS a problem at DE THIS year. Let the team have their guy back. Thomas Davis would be the perfect guy to facilitate such a move within the locker room and the media.I actually think it would be great for the local media. Good and bad they could eat off that one for a while. He's employable. Carolina has perhaps the strongest locker room in the NFL!?! Why not? You can put clauses in his contract for behavior moving forward so why not?

Because they don't want guys that have to have clauses....

But resigning the son of Gemini immediately after being popped for PEDs is A-OK because it doesn't ruffle the feathers of Panther haters, phonies, or the uninformed.

Well darn, I was hoping I killed this with my totally non relevant duck duck goose analogy.

If you insist, Uncle is a much better analogy.  Assuming you drank milk and ate your vitamins you're likely better than you were at age 7.  Signing Greg Hardy Jr right now to the Carolina Panthers would be the other 31 shouting "Uncle".

That is correct.

Like I said early on in this thread, society is ultra sensitive to certain things right now.  Those things take the forefront, and are going to get a majority of the attention.  Mostly unwanted, and distracting attention.  No teams want to deal with that, otherwise, he'd already be on someone's roster.  It's not Panthers' exclusive.
