Sigh. Hardy is like the sexiest ex that got away. Two years since he technically played for us and people still can't let her go.

The team believes that the best way to win is to go with smart, high character players. It would be a pretty extreme stretch to suggest that Hardy qualifies under either of those categories.  You could, however, make a pretty good argument that he fits into either or both of the categories Gettleman has stated that he doesn't want.

It's not a matter of "balls". It's an understanding that dumb people do dumb things that hurt the team (a fact that's been proven true time and again).

To go after a guy like Hardy, they would have to throw their entire philosophy out the window, and there's no indication that they're willing to do that (nor any compelling argument that they should).

By the way, this BS simply can't go unchecked.  Obviously DG tagged Hardy Jr, but other teams think (or at least thought) our QB is both an asshole and dummy, so what?
