Daryl Williams: IMHO Williams needs to win the RT spot, but maybe not for the reasons you think. While Williams may have a higher ceiling than Remmers, it is actually Remmers versatility along the entire line that makes me pull for him to lose his starting spot.  Remmers is a high IQ guy who can be plugged in anywhere on the line.  He would make a better utility backup than Williams and has more experience playing different positions.  Remmers may even be the answer at center when Kalil decides to hang up his cleats.

This would be a great outcome.

1. Wegher vs. Cap - I think Wegher is the better running back with the ball in his hands, however runningbacks don't make it in the NFL if they can't pass protect. I'd like to see how they stack up in pass protection.

  • For what its worth, I believe that Wegher can make Fozzy expendable. Fozzy is rarely put in the game to be a blocking back and I believe that Wegher possesses a skill set, along with the physical measurable's, that could prove to make Fozzy the odd man out.
  • My comparison comes in the form of two similar plays, albeit in different situations. Fozzy's screen pass against the Cardinals versus Wegher's catch and run against the Bills.

2. Dean Marlowe - I think he is going to overtake Tre Boston by the end of Training Camp and want to see that start tonight. I understand much of the interest in Tre is due to the fact he went to UNC however I don't believe that he is the solution for the position.

3. Funchess, Benjamin and Olsen - I want to see them on the field at the same time just to see it.

4. Defensive Line - If we truly are as deep at the position as we believe then the defensive line should be able to perform well throughout the entire game regardless of who is playing (sans the camp bodies).

5. Rookie CB's - Hopefully they are kept in for an extended period of time as they will need as much game film as they can get, even if the players they line up against aren't going to be starting on week 1 beyond the first or second series.
