Which one of you did this to Mike Remmers's Wikipedia page?

Why? Because once a guy has one bad game, he can never have another good one?

Funny. in over 40 years of watching football, I've never found that principle to be true.

he actually had several bad games. he got exposed in the @falcons game and defenses targeted him all throughout the playoffs. we are fortunate to have a scheme that can work around his deficiencies as a pass blocker and - yes - an offensive coordinator that can marginalize the effect his deficiencies have on offensive performance as a whole.

also cam newton.

remmers struggles against explosive DEs who can beat him at the point of attack. if he's muscling down against a bruiser he does alright, but von miller types eat him alive. the broncos figured this out early on and blue dog blitzed for three quarters, gambling coverage loss for a shot at stoning our right tackle every down. it won them a superbowl.

Thank you.

So clearly we don't all recognize the use of an absurdist statement to make a point. Okay...

But to the "Remmers will get destroyed if we put him out there against Von Miller again" crowd, tell me: on what do you base your assumption that the coaching staff is just going to throw him out there one-on-one against speed rushers like Miller again?

I'm reasonably sure our coaching staff has seen the game film of the Super Bowl by now.

it wasn't Remmers vs Miller that was the problem, it was the Denver D line vs the Carolina O line. we had no problem stopping guys like Watt and the god that is Greg Hardy JR, because they didn't have much help.

The Denver line was solid across the board, so Miller could take advantage. when we face them in a month, they won't have the same DTs, our O line will likely be better than the D line they bring.

Mike Remmers was a big part of our getting to the Super Bowl last year.

If you want to judge him solely by that one game, you're gonna have to bag on several other players as well, including a guy named Newton.

I like Remmers but he is a JAG. I rather have Williams start, whose ceiling is higher  and fits the Panther's offensive scheme better.
