this is to be expected...........if they were perfect we wouldn't need TC.

The next two weeks will be very important for these guys.......

Think RR is just letting them know that.

It is not about being perfect. It is about being prepared.

He lit into them over mental assignments they need to have down cold at this point. 3rd team players get paid well to simply study and master a playbook. They are not expected to be athletic freaks. If they catch a coaches eye and make the roster, then that is above and beyond. They get paid to quickly master a playbook since this will be their main roll as scout team members during the season from week to week. A head coach who values preparation will be harder on the scout team for mistakes than they will the actual players in a game.

The Patriots are known for paying their scout team members better than any other team in the league. The bonuses they throw at their scout team for a win are extremely generous. However, Belichick will quickly terminate a scout team member if they are unable to pick up on the opposing teams playbook in a single day.

Get 'em Ron. He knows the team and especially the secondary are relying on young guys to contribute immediately. These guys need to be ready.

Agreed. I wish we were not relying on a late 2nd and 3rd round rookies to start at corner.

What does this have to do with Bradberry and Worley? Sure looked like he was talking to OL in the picture and it mentions the 3rd string offense. I haven't heard anything about those two missing assignments or being in the wrong places. From what's been posted, it has been the opposite and they've been pretty much going with the 1s recently. Young guys covers a lot, but his comments sure seemed to be pointed to the young guys who will be playing a lot (2nd/3rd stringers trying to make the team) on Thursday and they weren't ready.

Not a big deal about the players who make the roster for game days. This is about future scout team members not being prepared with the oppositions game plan/formations. Just another example of reporters not understanding the intricacies of a football team.

Whereas I'm sure a guy sitting in Winston-Salem reading articles on his computer has a much better understanding of things like this, even though he has zero experience with them and no contact with the team whatsoever.

Speaking of places where Rivera is unhappy, the Chargers just released another punter, player by the name of Kasey Redfern.

He's a guy who grew up in North Carolina, went to Wofford and has also been to camp with the Jags. Per his bio, he's also done kickoffs.

Hey, a kicker named Kasey worked before, right?
