What a nice grab for Deaver. This is what Ron Rivera would call a "flash". This training camp invitee is going to get himself a NFL paycheck on the practice squad this year me thinks.

Bad timing for the kid. 5 years, or so, ago, and he may well have made the team. Now...he is basically auditioning for every other team. Plenty of teams could use his skills. So let's hope he gets a chance somewhere.

 

Oh by the way. In my youth. I would have one handed that one. But hey, you know, I was something back then. Nowadays? I'm just a biter old man, with delusions of grandeur. And a kid free lawn.

Deaver's talent was never a question...he could just never stay healthy. A lot of bad luck for him so far in his career, so hopefully he keeps trending upward. A PS stash this year, who potentially makes a jump into the 53 next year would be awesome for him.
