For older Panthers vets, it's Now or Never for another Super Bowl run

The window opens and closes at different times. It's open right now for our team. It closed with the deterioration of Delhomme, and didn't reopen until Cam matured. Make no mistake the time is right now, and when Cam becomes too old the window will close again. Go all in now.

should have thought about this before they choked the last time they made the super bowl

Sadly this is true. It seemed like our players were just lollygagging around before the superbowl like they were believing their own hype and all they had to do was show up and they win. They didin't seize the historical opportunity they had in front of them to go down as one of the BEST seasons EVER, and it showed with our lack of focus and lack of gameplan. Hopefully they make us forget about that bullsh*t with a superbowl win this year. Hopefully they take it more seriously if we're lucky enough to get there again in the near future.

Haven't been able to think about it since February.  Every thing and I mean EVERY THING that made our team so great all season was missing in the Super Bowl.  There was no edge, no one was having fun, no one seemed to be out "on a mission".  It's still absolutely shocking to me when I think about the way our team played that night.  No one was their self.

I just don't know WTF happened. That team we saw in the superbowl wasn't even 1/8th of the team we saw in the regular season and postseason. It seemed like EVERYBODY (including coaches) was pressing out there and didn't play loose. Didn't play with any urgency, energy, creativity, nastiness, focus. discipline, all the things that had gotten us to that point. I like to think that the NFL isn't scripted, but for a team to absolutely DOMINATE the league on the way to the superbowl and just fail like that against a team that barely won against the Steelers without Brown and Bell is suspect. Still pisses me off the more I think about it how we choked away such an historic season with a dud at the end.

Denver elevated their game (defensively) for the SB.

On the other hand (to hear the Broncos tell it) the Panthers didn't do anything that wasn't already on tape.

The good news is Carolina is mostly intact and is in an excellent position to return to the big game.

I have no doubt Cam and Luke will ensure the entire team elevates their game next time around.  I'd be very surprised if the Panthers don't dominate beginning to end, physically and emotionally.

I'd really like to see Denver as our SB opponent once again, to exact sweet, sweet revenge.
